On the ptp board.

I love Dial's toughness and ability to use the sidelines. See him as a strong zone corner that attacks the ball, C3 3rd where he can use the sidelines to his advantage, physical/press against bigger WR in short areas. He's not someone that can chase around smaller guys. Tough prospect that played in a variety of coverages with different assignments. Plus run defender when it's a downhill see ball get ball situation. He's a smart player that reads his man quite well. Always looking for tells when a WR is about to catch the ball. ST experience. I would have went elsewhere but he's a versatile, smart, tough player.

Decent size at 6' 190 lbs, ran a 4.46 40 at the combine so decent speed. Had decent productivity in college with 10 pbus his senior year. But yeah, we're plugging backup roles at this point with this pick.

He may be average/slightly above average speed-wise, but it seems his explosiveness should help make up for it at times.

I mean, he's 4.55, that's the same as the rest of the Bournes. Playing some Tight End, some Red Zone slot? I'm all for it...but please, please, keep trying to teach him QB.

Oops this was meant for new rookie CB Marcellas Dial. Thanks.

Special teams figures to be his focus, and the 6th is a good time to get ST athletes with positional development potential

I see the favorites as Gonzo, Jones, Jones, Austin and Bolden.

COMPETITORS FOR THE #6 CB SPOT IF THERE EVEN IS A #6
Wilson
Wade
Hearn
Dial
===========
Also, we are likely to add a free agent CB.

Forget coverage. According to the Patriots.com roster, he should really be playing three defensive line positions all at once.

I would’ve went elsewhere in the DB universe too; such as DJ James, or Kamal Hadden, Myles Harden, MJ Devonshire, or freaky CB/FS(?) Ryan Watts, or Air Force Safety & Jim Thorpe Winner Trey Taylor…
