If the market is literally dead for Fields then sign him, still take a QB at 3 if your guy falls to you, or trade back, get multiple firsts and start the rebuild. This team isn’t a few accusations away from contending, they don’t even have a solid roster that just needs a playmaker or two.

Worst that happens is Fields is absolute garbage and you dump him next season, best case is he overperforms and you can either resign him or trade him. Brissett is a backup, Bailey probably doesn’t belong in the league so you need somebody to start, still

Curious to see if he got the $30m average that he was rumored to be asking for earlier today.

Edit — looks like he “settled” for a boatload of guarantees instead.

The Pats get enough accusations here.

Aaron Rodgers is growing. Baby steps but growing as an adult nonetheless. He would have leaked he was running for VP the Friday before the superbowl. Day 2 in FA shows tremendous growth and after all that's what the human experiment is all about.

My thought is they are gonna get a guy in the draft and pick up a guy like Reynolds.

Reynolds is a pro, he’s just not exciting.
Kind of a lame solution if that happens. We’ll still not have a difference maker barring a rookie making instant impact.

If you aren’t getting Ridley, go for Tee/Williams/Aiyuk. Hell, someone.

Texas should have an aggressive D this season.
This and the trade for Mixon should give them the AFC South going away, and a potential AFCCG.

The Jets trading for Rodgers, paying him, getting like 3 snaps out of him before he goes on season-ending IR, and then having him leave the team the following season to run for office just seems so appropriate to me.

I’ll reserve judgement. The QB had a fabulous rookie season. But so did RGIII. I suspect you’re right and I do like their chances. I’ve seen small sample size blow up before, however…

You have to send comp for them though. I have to imagine at least a 2nd. You could draft a really good WR this year at #34.

Anderson and Hunter are going to be a problem for teams next year. Texans front office has been on fire since the start of last off-season. Spending and dealing aggressively to bring in impact players. Meanwhile, Kraft is guarding his billions and it is status quo bargain hunting in Foxboro, MA.

I'm sort of factoring that in, Stroud can regress a bit, but with the help around him, (Collins, Dell, and now Mixon, a huge upgrade over Devin Singletary), and it shouldn't torpedo their chances too much.

Jete fans were hoping for OL help. Poor bastards find out their QB is on the VP short list.
