I’ll say this on the topic of L’Jarius Sneed, and it applies to any other tag trade candidate too. The franchise tag is effectively a no trade clause, as they can’t trade him until he signs the tag and a team won’t trade for him without coming to an agreement on a long term deal. Within reason, you can probably offer him more money so that he refuses to be traded to a team that’s offering more trade compensation.

KC should eat that tag. I thought this kind of thing was strongly discouraged.

Nope. 31 years old, hasn't passed 500 yards in a season in three years.

He's not what this team needs right now - AT ALL. See if you can pry Jeudy away from Denver cheap (if you can get a deal done with him), otherwise, draft two or three WRs. The market sucks and you'll have to greatly overpay.

I'm firmly in the FA to turn this Defense into a force of nature camp.

If Denver was going to move JJ.. I think they would've already. However I'm all in on it, if they did. I believe when it's all said an done we'll have a few FAs on offense, but on defense is where I'm with you also on.. adding Wilkins or a burns off the edge.. seems like there will be alot of options on defense in FA..

Does that mean "lots of tread on the tires" for a 31 year old, or washed up?
I feel like I'd take him over Parker.
The only issue is, we'd have to find a trade partner or eat a ton of cap to move Parker, so not really worth it.

Yes he arguably was one of the top 2,3 WRs during that span a few years ago. Injuries robbed this former ALL PRO. Absolutely Parker couldn't even compare to this version of Thomas. Yes moving Parker I'm told is a 6m cap hit.. Parker and juju are interesting.. due to Absolutely lackluster in FA at WR we may be stuck with them for at least next season.. unless someone wants to give us a 5th or 6th?.. I'm more inclined to try to keep juju Over Parker. I've been saying we should target Hollywood and Ridley in FA.

Honestly, with a couple of decent D adds and good drafting of OL and WR (assuming the rookie QB sits, and a decent bridge QB, they could chase the playoffs almost immediately.

Add Wilkins, a second top corner and a little health luck, and this D rocks it b

I want to win as many games as we can on 2024. Just be competitive. Why do many on this forum agree to a suck fest the next few years? We are hoping upon hope that our last choice of the Holy three will be the franchise for the Pats? (Sorry Ivan Cousin) Have you seen their tape? Daniels will get snapped in half the first few games of his career (we have no OLine or receivers) and Maye is Kenny Picket/Trubisky II. If you going to gamble on a Draft pick that has pro bowl tendencies the only safe pick as #3 is MHJ........But.....if you stay patient in the Draft process, get a ready to play QB ....yes even Cousins, Mayfield, Russell or...gasp!!!...Fields. Even Minshew who might win a game of two for you, then get your second tier guy. I think Wentz could be a big story to resurrect his career. He has a winning record and only 31.

Payton is blowing it up. How about #3 to the Broncos for Jeudy annd OT Garrett Boles (both on their last years), their pick #12 and their first in 2025? Now take #12 get your best WR or TE if Bowers is still there....or...swap it to Arizona for #27 and #35 (fair trade) and pick WR Leggett at #27 and OT Jordan Morgan at #35 . Give the Chiefs our 3 round pick #68 for Sneed. Now pick Nix, Penix, McCarthy or Rattler at #34. Send our 4th pick #104 to the Bears for Fields if we lose out on Mayfield, Cousins or Wilson.

Now resign Big Mike, Henry and long term Dugger. Second tier signings Reagar, Brown and Zeke. Re-up Barmore so we can wipe the strench of "cheap" off this franchise.

In FA grab Wilkins, Van Ginkle, Fant, Sneed (yes trade I know) or T. White. There's how you spend $100mm that makes sense.

Think we can win 8-9 games in 2024 with that Team?
