$1.2M? He’ll be traded, not waived.
Damn they can’t afford him at that amount?

1) Yes, AVP can coach QB's.AVP, had 5 different QBs last season Cleveland ended up 12th offensively.. had we had a 12th ranked anything offensively last season we are a playoff team.
The issue is the $14M bonus that is due.Damn they can’t afford him at that amount?
Agreed 100%... what I'll say is.. AVP is now in a much better organization than Cleveland.1) Yes, AVP can coach QB's.
2) Yes, a #12 Offense would probably would have been in the playoffs.
3) It does not follow that AVP can take our Offense from worst to 12th or anywhere near. Of course, I am certainly one who thinks that this is very possible.
That's why Washington eventually let him go. They knew he was never going to get them to the promised land (not that they've had anyone better since). With his injury, I wouldn't mind him as a one season bridge to the rookie QB, but I think some team will offer him a better contract.Kirk Cousins' 2nd year in the league: 0-3, 52.% Comp, 4TD, 7INT
3rd year was marginally better: 1-4 61.8% Comp, 10TD, 9INT
Amazing that now he's the belle of the ball, considering that very few at the time probably thought that he was ever gonna be a long time starter in the league. 1 playoff win in 12 years in the league.
Probably not old/experienced enough to be a bridge, probably not enough upside to be a better option for the future than No. 3. If we were going into this season with only Mac and Zap, I'd see if he was available. He'd make a lot more sense for a team that doesn't have the firepower to get up to the top 3-5 QBs in the draft.Thoughts on Sam Howell?
Not if you’re competent at drafting. We won’t go far regardless if we don’t drastically improve there.
I think Howell would be a better fit for a team like the Jets or Rams with an aging QB that may need replaced in the near future. He needs a year or two to sit. I think the long term potential with him is definitely still there.Thoughts on Sam Howell?
I will reserve judgement on any Redskin or Commander or RedMander or whatever they’re called due to the absolute $hi***ow that organization has been. Howell could be a very good asset for a good team with a plan.Thoughts on Sam Howell?
