He was great on special teams but I can’t see any way he gets that award over say a jauan Jennings who had a passing and receiving td.Chris Conley had an argument for SB MVP had the 49ers held on.
That would be the plan. I would also attempt to sign Tyron Smith for a short term plug in at LT and use 68 on his eventual replacement. 3 and 34 designated for QB and WR.True, but think internally, money for Barmore extension, bring back Onwenu and Dugger.
Just a shame that this FA class stinks on the offensive side at a time when we have all this space.
He looked good for San FranFIFY
That massive cap raise screwed the Pats more than people think, and way more than any other team. And that the cap was raised to the whole league allowing Pittman and Higgins to Franchsed. There’s going to be some very mediocre WRs breaking the bank.
Now it is just bologna! those Kraft's will do anything to pinch a penny. LOLto be used on bologna sandwiches and special teamers
I am afraid that you are correct. Having more money available to all teams limits the Pats advantage. This reminds me of the time the Bruins stripped their roster to time the market at the start of the NHL salary cap to give them more available money than other teams and reset the roster. This plan failed when the cap was established at a higher than expected level. Having no roster in a suddenly competitive market set the team back many years and got Mike O'Connell fired. In the NFL the impact is muted by the draft delivering roster players. That massive cap raise screwed the Pats more than people think, and way more than any other team.
Unfortunately, rebuilding the offense will be a 2 year process at a minimum.Just a shame that this FA class stinks on the offensive side at a time when we have all this space.
Relying on a tight cap so other teams might have to jettison good players is a horrible roster management strategy.I am afraid that you are correct. And the other thing is that by the time our offense gets good again, the defense might be starting to show some tread. I’m happy going heavy defensive side in FA so when the picks on offense finally pan out, the defense will still be in its prime.True, but think internally, money for Barmore extension, bring back Onwenu and Dugger.
Then we put some of that money aside for next year's Free Agent Class.Just a shame that this FA class stinks on the offensive side at a time when we have all this space.
I'd take Beckton if he's healthy and can get him on a reasonable "Prove It" deal. There will likely be starting LT talent available at #34. I hope we sign Owenu, and see us taking a shot with a Mecca Beckton type. Otherwise, I see the draft as the ticket to a passable professional line.
Maybe get Beckton on a reasonable prove it deal if he checks out health-wise. Beckton is still young and a prototypical RT. Smith could hold down the fort at LT while the guy we draft is ready. That would be the plan. I would also attempt to sign Tyron Smith for a short term plug in at LT and use 68 on his eventual replacement. 3 and 34 designated for QB and WR.
Goodell won’t leave us alone. That massive cap raise screwed the Pats more than people think, and way more than any other team.
