By the way, there's a lot of smoke that Justin Fields will be sent to Atlanta shortly, which will mean that the Bears are absolutely locked in with Caleb Williams. We'll see what Washington is going to do after that. There's a lot of pressure there too since some people think Howell is a good QB.
And that's a lot of smoke if people think Howell's a good QB he fizzled out down the stretch seems like Mac Jones Pt.II.

Who's on your list for that vet spot?
Beats me if I’m being honest. I don’t know enough about a lot of those guys to know who would be willing to essentially be an on-field coach. If Zappe is the starter though, it’d be a guy you hope never plays. A Hoyer type. Someone to show the rook how to eat, sleep, breathe football.

Wilson is completely delusional, he really believes he’s the same QB he was 5 years ago. I don’t want anything to do with him.
Jacoby Brissett it is

Don't you need a competent enough QB so the rookie QB can learn at least something?
Yep and I mentioned that 5 posts earlier…

I don’t want to spend 20m+ per year for an 8-9 QB season while the rook learns. Is Mayfield going to bestow great knowledge to the rook? I highly doubt it. Go with Zappe or a late 30 yr old over the hill cheap vet that has been around…a lot.

Funny - my initial response to you literally started with.. "Maybe a Hoyer type...?" That makes sense. Hopefully no one more than $5mil/yr if that.

Looks like Michael Pittman jr is off the board
Slim pickings at WR in FA

Great he didn't move the needle for me maybe next time.

This is not a FA class to go wild @WR maybe @ TE anybody not named H Henry.

Give me TE Dalton Schultz in FA or give me death he was very good with a Young QB.

IF we ever sign Jacoby Biscuit in FA we'll be picking in the Top 3 again next year no thanks. I don't want to get use to us talking about the Draft and FA in week 5.

Idk man. You might need to get used to it brother. Theres no real quick fixes walking through those doors. This team is in rough shape and needs a few good offseasons to rebuild that structure again.

Shultz or Noah fant
Fant is ok he never lived up to his Draft billing I thought he would be much better like Aaron Hernandez.

That doesn't mean we have to suffer with scrubs like Jacoby Biscuit I would rather suffer with the Rookie and growing pains than stop gap scrub QB.

Next years QB class sucks.
That’s what the experts say and they also said the 2021 class could be better than the 1983 class. I think halfway through the 2024 college season there will be QB’s climbing the draft ladder. The Mel Kipers and all the others really don’t have a clue.
