On a serious note - with this hire + Alonzo Highsmith's hire announced today, it feels like they are building up the personnel dept in anticipation of announcing Wolf as the actual guy running the show.

I don't think they will ever officially announce Wolf as GM. Even back in the Parcells day, they never had an actual GM.

But I agree that the reports were that the Patriots under Belichick had a woefully thin personnel department. I hope they modernize it and start to bring analytics into the fold.

Belichick has been vocal over and over again that he does not believe in analytics to evaluate players. He doesn't use analytics for that. He uses it for play calling and gameplans. Not talent evaluation.
