He has interviewed a boat load of candidates, almost all of them who have experience in the McVay coaching tree. And there's a good chance they have made offers. So you are full of crap for saying there is no effort being made.
I think he’s looking for more than 1 of these guys.
one for OC, one for passing game coordinator one for QB coach.
I’d hire Getsy as QB coach
Fluerty as Tight end run game coordinator
And Tanner from Detoit as passing game Coordinaor.

That way you have multiple kinds of offensive principles.
Hope Kraft is ready to spend some money.

What makes you think he isn't?
The data. I don't see the level of urgency I think is called for. Up to now, they have moved quite briskly. The lull is concerning; that's all. I do not mean to assert a federal case.

Good points, except that part about my being full of crap. I mean, why bring THAT up?

If Mac is coming back, even as a #2 or #3, it is critical for Josh to be our OC or at least a senior assistant. As we all should know by now, we are waiting to see if Bill gets on of the last HC job
I'd be really surprised to see BB on the sidelines this year. Much less ever again.

But generally DLs have always been better athletes than OLs. OL is mostly a thankless and physically demanding job.
It is a mentally challenging position as well: a big, fat, violent chess match in the blink of an eye.

Apparently, we can't get no one after the middle of camp better than Love and McDermott, not even for a 2nd or 3rd draft choice.

If that is the case, we should come out of free agency with at least three OT's but better than Brown< Anderson and Reiff.
They won't materialize out of thin air. The best available are Trent Brown and Onwenu

Why are Fluery and Engstrand moving laterally from good offenses to go to the Patriots? Is RK going to double their salaries?

I think they should "make every effort" to retain Onwenu, barring extortionate demands on his part. As for Trent, I don;t think he can be trusted to honor his responsiblities, in-season or off-season. He's no spring chicken, and his workout habits and dietary discipline both stink. AND he's a bigmouth. No thanks, though I understand he would theoretically be a possible choice.

I think he has a vision and is trying to get the right guys in place, we'll see eventually what his plan is.

If Elliot Wolf isn’t doing everything to sign Owenhu to a new contract, then I want an all new personnel department.
If that is the case, you must not want them to transition to more of a Shanahan/McVay style offense because, as much as I also like Big Mike as a player, it wouldn’t make sense for them to sign Onwenu to a top of the market OL contract and then switch to an offense that doesn’t suit his skillset/athletic profile.

Just saw an article that said Jerrod Johnson is Staying with the Texans.

not lateral..... for both it would be a promotion to OC
