It's easy, and only takes a few moments. We can't say Bill ran everything and blame him for what's gone wrong and then blame someone else for something else. Bill ran the show, all aspects of it. He had a budget and decided how to dole it out.I don’t think it was Bills doing.
Starting to think it’s Kraft.
Why interview then?
Interviews are a two-way street. He may have learned something about how the Patriots operate that turned him off to the job.Why interview then?
Most likely learned since then that the Falcons are interested in keeping him. He doesn’t have any other interest that I’m aware of. The Giants wanted to interview him, but the Falcons blocked the request at that time. They’ve since made a hire anyway. Why interview then?
So Caley or the lions passing assistant is the guy unless we are planning on hiring someone from San Fran but we haven’t even requested a interview. Most likely learned since then that the Falcons are interested in keeping him. Also makes sense in that the Rams’ assistant ST coach is heading to NE for an in-person interview, a hint that he won’t be following Raheem Morris to Atlanta in the same way that Zac Robinson is favored to.
Yeah this just tells me that the guy believes he is being kept by Morris now. When the Pats interviewed him, Morris wasn’t in the picture - the narrative was that it was Belichick’s job and he probably would’ve brought Achord or Judge over. So this Williams would’ve been out of a job. Things have changed since then. Most likely learned since then that the Falcons are interested in keeping him. He doesn’t have any other interest that I’m aware of. The Giants wanted to interview him, but the Falcons blocked the request at that time. They’ve since made a hire anyway.

Maybe a favor for the Rooney rule? Interview for the experience? Why interview then?
Came here to ask the same question. Why interview then?
You don’t waste people’s time interviewing for experience. That’s not interviewing in good faith.Maybe a favor for the Rooney rule? Interview for the experience?
Yes but they’re playing the leverage game. A game BB lost evidently. Screw it, there’s a hot college offensive mind out there dying for a shot in the big leagues. If Kraft wants top NFL talent, stop playing money games and pay them.So tell me my fellow Patriots Fans, does any coach actually want to come here, let alone someone that's good or could prove to be? I'm asking for a friend.
