Last time I saw him, he looked like a sick man. Fluid in the lungs is a common issue with an opioid overdose. The fact they were able to bring him back is a medical miracle. I hope he doesn’t squander it for one more high.

The same league that used to get extremely bent out of shape over weed use by players, lets the Teppers and Irsays and all other owners do anything without serious consequences so the NFL probably wont have him get the forceful help he needs

I hate Irsay and I think he’s a horrible person who very well may be partly responsible for the death.

That said, this story is just very sad. Very sad. Mental illness and substance abuse have been very difficult for too many people. There isn’t an easy fix.

He’s an old head to still be alive as a heavy opioid user. Opioid addiction is a choice based on free will, and this has been his mentally weak choice. What is the NFL shield doing besides enabling him all these years?

Not a fan of Irsay, but coming from a family who have a history of addictions, the solution is never as simple as it seems.
For his sake I hope he recovers...
