Cardinals and titans are the only weaklings. Everyone else is better than us. I don't think we can get a rookie qb to start this year without impeding his development and inducing mental scars and jitterbug responses a la Mac. If our rook will start later part of this year or next year why draft a qb in r1? Maybe trade down to 5 get the best OT and take best developmental qb in r2 / r3.If you remove the divisional games, it's:
Home - Texans, Colts, Chargers, Rams, Seahawks
Away - Cardinals, Bears, 49ers, Bengals, Jaguars, Titans
Does not seem too bad. 11 teams - 3 of them are playoff teams, 4 of them were only 1 game above .500, and the last 4 had losing records. 2 of the 3 playoff teams are at home. 3 out of 6 away opponents had losing records in 2023. Only one team in this group has a top 10 defense (49ers).
As always, the divisional games have the most importance, but beyond them, this slate is not killer.
Though I cannot convince myself of this approach dunno how we are setting up the 1st round qb for success with 0 weapons.
