Why do we need McD when we already have Obie still under contract?

And AFAIK Pioli has been in only one FO - Atlanta's, helping Dimitroff - since KC fired him like a decade ago... Besides, I do Not want as GM someone whom Bill will work Through instead of Under.

This was quite an acquisition. We have him for next year, since he in an ERFA.

It is an interesting concept. The rub is that Bill would need to let these guys do their jobs as opposed to having them serve him. He can work alongside Pioli but needs to trust Pioli if he says Bill is off the mark. He needs to listen to Josh’s input if he really likes a specific player at an offensive skill position. He needs to let his guys run the offense on game day and be hands-off outside of those critical situations like clock management or identifying tendencies, etc.

It could work but it also seems like it could easily just be more of the same or even worse. I would be open to it though…

Pioli hasn't run his own draft in over a decade; I fear he's too far out-of-touch with college prospects & their chances of making NFL impacts Not to be deferential to Bill's preferences... I want a Completely Independent & Unaffiliated-with-Belichick GM; if it's not Eliot Wolf then he MUST come from Outside the building and - most importantly - outside Bill's circle of F & Fs.

yes, and a 4th year when he is an RFA. RFA's are almost never picked up by another team, especially if his team want to keep him.
