They are both home grown players. I'm sure they wouldn't turn down lucrative offers from the team if offered. They have to want to be here.

Same here. One of them will be traded and the other probably cut. Those moves really left a bitter taste in my mouth especially Extending Fragile Parker why BB?? Black Monday can't come soon enough for me I am taking the day off dawn of a new era.
Come on Champ, what happened with floats like a butterfly stings like a bee? Can't be scared to make a move.Waiting?
I hope everything works out,
If it doesn’t, it will be just another in the long line of failed HCs that litter the NFL landscape.
Just getting a new HC is not plug and play.
Be careful what you wish for.
I think they largely changed and fixed their drafting problems as a result of the NKeal disaster, and with Groh taking Cesario's role 2 years ago. The past 4 drafts have been fine. We took a step back when Brady left and Cam played, during the ridiculous Covid season. Then a couple of .500 seasons with Mac, before this one.
Just like many prestigious people in the world Bill has an ego. Asking him to step away from GM duties would absolutely make it even easier for him not to stay.We can only speculate in the end it's up to the Krafts my hope is if they keep him he's stripped of all GM duties. I just have a hard time imagining BB accepting that after observing his personality in recent years.
The past 4 drafts have ****ING SUCKED. Wake the **** up.
If we had hit on a QB.. then it wouldn't be as insufferable. We know what it looked like to have a QB for so long and unfortunately we know what it looks like to miss on one.Eh? They could have been better. If you hit on 3 starters you’re doing pretty well. They netted some nice players like Dugger, Barmore, Onwenu and Stevenson. But they had a horrible drafting history from 2017-19, which still impacts the team today. And they’ve mostly whiffed on offensive skill position players for the last decade.
Agreed, what gives me hope is we still have stability at ownership. The Carolina owner is a goof. He'll be forced to sell that team pretty soon. So I used to be able to rely on our HC/GM but this teams put together like a hobby of his rather than a capable NFL roster. So I'm going to trust that ownership can right the ship. It was all good when we were Winning and we're perennial contenders. However bills hobby of a roster and draft misses has us where we are currently. I don't put injuries on him as that's part of the game. However the QB position is just a joke now!QB aside:
if we can solidify the OL and Hit on a WR who comes in and immediately can be a #1 while keeping some of our FA's that in itself should put us in a better position. even if the QB room stays the same.
look at what a guy like browning is doing throwing to chase/higgins. baker mayfield is reborn throwing to Mike evans/godwin...
Bill filling the offensive side of the ball with JAGs and whiffing on any draft picks when he makes them has us as a very slow untalented team on that side of the ball. Bill acted in the offseason as if O'Brien could fix all talent issues on that side of the ball.
if we hit on a QB and everything else on the roster stays the same. I am afraid that the rookie QB will end up ruined and we will be in the same spot.....See carolina...
+ a reliable kickerIf we had hit on a QB.. then it wouldn't be as insufferable. We know what it looked like to have a QB for so long and unfortunately we know what it looks like to miss on one.
We went from Vinatieri to Gostowoski, big kick nick, to Chad WIDE-land.+ a reliable kicker
Yup.We went from Vinatieri to Gostowoski, big kick nick, to Chad WIDE-land.
And a 4th rounder at that!! Don't get why we traded nick. As a kicker your career can last into your 40s if your good enough.Yup.
And spending a draft pick on a kicker who didn't even make the roster. Lol
I think that's a little strong. We've gotten a number of good starters. Thornton has been the one that's disappointed so far, but there's still hope with him. Ryland I think will come around. The Mac pick at 15th in the 2021 draft was entirely justified. The past 4 drafts have ****ING SUCKED. Wake the **** up.
Pops been good too, he has the most yards of any rookie WR in the BB era.I think that's a little strong. We've gotten a number of good starters. Thornton has been the one that's disappointed so far, but there's still hope with him. Ryland I think will come around. The Mac pick at 15th in the 2021 draft was entirely justified.
Ryland’s rookie season is remarkably similar to Gostkowski’s when broken down into 10 yard splits. The most drastic difference is that Gostkowski got to pad his stats with 81% of his FG attempts coming in under 40 yards while only 42% of Ryland’s attempts have been under 40 yards. We went from Vinatieri to Gostowoski, big kick nick, to Chad WIDE-land.
Interesting, I guess it just felt differently with Gotostwoski in his rookie season.Ryland’s rookie season is remarkably similar to Gostkowski’s when broken down into 10 yard splits. The most drastic difference is that Gostkowski got to pad his stats with 81% of his FG attempts coming in under 40 yards while only 42% of Ryland’s attempts have been under 40 yards.
