NFL Rules:
"If the teams have the same strength of schedule, division or conference tiebreakers are applied. If the divisional or conference tiebreakers are not applicable, or ties still exist between teams of different conferences, ties will be broken the following tie-breaking method:
- Head-to-head, if applicable..."
So, if Washington & NE do in fact tie on strength of schedule, then it goes to division.
NE has a 4-9 conference record currently. Washington has a 2-11 conference record.
So if Tankathon has not yet entered the Dallas strength of schedule for the current Washington record, then NE could sneak ahead.
I don't know if they use the strength of schedule of games already played, or the current record of all teams that will be played.
