Nobody in their right mind should ever argue against Tom Brady being the greatest player to ever play for the New England Patriots.
Nobody in their right mind should ever argue against BB being the greatest HC to ever coach the New England Patriots.
Both of these all-time greats were even better because they had each other and a great strategy to elevate them even more. It was unorthodox from the get go, keeping a fourth string QB on the roster, replacing Bledsoe (the franchise QB) due to injury with a 6th round draft pick, winning with WR and street FA's at DB, taking no-name players and players at the end of their careers and finding roles for them so they were excelling at high levels, drafting an oft-injured TE out of AZ in the 3rd Rd. and turning him into the greatest all-around TE in NFL history, drafting a QB from Kent St. and seeing him flourish under BB as one of the greatest playoff WR's in NFL history. These things are epic and should be celebrated, who cares about a few mistakes along the way. We saw a GM/HC understand the team's strengths and fill in the other pieces the best he could despite having first round draft picks stolen from him and always drafting low in the drafting order. Tom Brady was surrounded by guys (mostly) by players that were in sync with doing whatever it takes to WIN and with attitudes that had team first attitude. If guys didn't adjust their attitude, they were jettisoned. It was a perfect match of personalities between a HC/GM and QB. It should be celebrated as such; I know that I've heard both of them state that numerous times and I believe them.
