I've said personally.. best for Mac and the organization to move on... I wonder if it would be possible we could do what Cincy did.. being able to draft a QB and WR I'm the same fashion like Burrow and chase? Mac can make alot of money as a backup in the league.. that's what he'll likely Be.

Grier is the real unknown but I wouldn't expect miracles from that guy either.

We saw zappe in a few games last season and he played well. So in limited opportunity this season he hasn't looked any better than Mac. I'm more eager to see what if any Grier can be. We just need someone to look competitive and competent as the bridge QB while we draft and develop Maye hopefully.

Coaches even the great ones need players.. I've mentioned that BBs legendary coaching tenure is ending how it started here in NE.

A limited opportunity this season was cleaning up Mac’s messes at the end of debilitating losses… that’s not an opportunity for anything but failure.

How many times do you think Zappe ran the two minute drill in practice this season with the starters? Zero probably…

Give him the next two week’s preparation as a starter and see what he can do. Make Grier the backup and get him some reps also. Put Mac on the IR, he’s toast.

I don't think you'll find much Mac apologist anymore. Most of us have come around. As I've said I've come to the realization that this isn't the place for him. Need a strong armed QB, a great decision maker and athletic ability. I don't know if BBs coaching style is conducive to being able to develop a young QB anymore. Brady was cut from a different cloth. Yeah he's the real unknown. But my expectations are really low. He's 28 and hasn't played any meaningful football since 2019. Mac is the most viable bridge guy IMO. Fitzmagic would be a better one actually but he's retired. Too bad

Cassell was throwing to HOF in moss, had an all pro offensive line. Jimmy G played well in 2 games.. but is soft as a baby's ass.. Mac just isn't the guy.. for this organization. Only the strong survive in NE. N'Keal had attitude problems. BB is an excellent defensive coach.. as great as he's been.. his style isn't for everyone. I agree draft an aplha.. I wouldn't think a QB with pink fingernails and cries to his mother as an alpha.. just my opinion..

The ball was out in 2.2 seconds per Daniels. His release time was fine, it's his mechanics under pressure. I'm agreeing with Daniels that Mac's problem is the way he handles pressure. He panics (and in this case the pressure came from Lowe blowing his block) and doesn't set his feet and the ball doesn't come out right. Panicking under pressure is what got Stidham sent packing and I expect the same to happen to Jones.

And Lowe doesn't belong in the league. Not his fault he's just a symptom of this offensive line being built by a GM/HC who without Tom Brady can't seem to building offense that works in the modern game. The same GM/HC with a losing record sans Brady isn't winning much this season either. I mean if you're saying it's all the QB's fault regardless of the team around him then I'm too happy to give all the credit to the QB for wins regardless of the team around him. So 100% of the credit for the dynasty goes to Brady and ONLY Brady. Works for me!

The QB plays the most snaps on the team by default, he handles the football more than any player on the team. If he plays like crap you can’t win.

That’s no different than saying if the O-Line plays like crap you can’t win. Are you 12 years old? There’s not a competition to assign credit, Tom Brady on a bad team wins nothing. The Pats won because they were the best team… period.

This isn’t Degrassi Junior High and we’re not voting for prom queen. Mac sucks, his offensive line improved back in week three.

Fair enough. But next week will be telling. I am just curious tonsee what Grier can do. I'm not really all that impressed with zap.. but he's likely going to start unfortunately

Zappe is 2-0 as a starter, it’s too small a sample size to determine his long term worth, but it’s a good start.

I’m not taking QB advice from the guy who was arguing with me for the last two months that Mac was good and it was everyone else’s fault. Your credibility here is nil.

Yes. The organization likely feels that they can't trust Mac so they will keep him around as a backup..as his trade value isn't really high. Grier should have ample opportunity to start. Reason why I would rather see Mac elsewhere is because I know he could be a better QB somewhere else.. NE isn't for everyone. So many players have said that even the GOAT.

Tom Brady arrived on a 5-11 team who started 0-2 and made them champs the same year. Later in his career he arrived on a 7-9 team and made them champs too. You were saying?
