Report: Kraft has had discussions about potentially moving on from Belichick

It’s just their turn. Most teams have had their lows. It was an absurd run of 20 years but some fans can’t accept it’s inevitable to end at some point. Lot of stellar franchises have shoveled **** over the years. Cowboys, 49ers, KC and many more. Just blows me away how entitled and spoiled our fans are by a once in a lifetime QB.
Ticket prices will plummet.

Empty seats like the old days.

Greer is next in line according to the clowns.
Tough times for the Zappeites. Making predictions that their hero zappy will be the permanent starter after week 5 only to see their boy demoted to third stringer behind not only Mac Jones but Malik Cunningham a guy who the team still doesn't believe is even a QB. Yikes!

Plus he’s paying the top salary for bottom salary performance.
This is business,
Question is trading for vs trading out.
Who is in charge of that Bill or Matt?

That was my thoughts as well.
That’s the biggest thing.
He picked the wrong horse.
We won't know the whole truth until years from now. Brady did not help himself selling TB12 plans to the team.

Hard to see how he wouldn't have those conversations. 1-5 with the worst offense in the league, and a team that's gotten worse each of the last three years. Only questions are: Would Kraft move on mid-season if things are bad enough? And what would be the miracle threshold for the team to accomplish that would save Bill's job at this point?

I feel like this is all speculation.
But it wouldn’t and doesn’t surprise me.
If they stay Pat without trading for OL or WRS I know the tank is on.
Who is available for trade for OL or WRs ?

If Belichick still has years on his contract do you think Krafty Bob will actually fire him, have to pay him, and then pay a new coach? Believe me, I've been at the forefront of Bill Must Go since last season (started realizing it in 2019 when he was trying to block punts instead of believing his offense and Brady could drive 75 yards for a TD), but I can't see Krafty Bob paying two coaches.

Why not? This whole Kraft is cheap thing is unfounded.

It is my understanding that Kraft gives Belichick a flat fee for all the coaches and Belichick pays his staff out of it and keeps the rest. If true, getting the guys like Patricia and Judge who are being paid by other teams while they coach here benefitted Belichick not Kraft.

Also, Kraft is what? 82? He cannot take his billions with him. I am sure he would rather see another championship before he dies than save tens of millions that are sitting in a bank or in the market anyway.

If Kraft parts ways with BB I always thought after 23 years and 6 titles BB would get the courtesy of resigning or retiring gracefully instead of the team firing him outright.

Now I'm not so sure they will give him that courtesy.
He could retire gracefully if the team was winning. We’ve gotten worse every single year since Brady left. Since the buck stops with BB as the GM and HC, he’s the only reason you can point to.

On 98.5 Breer and Zo seem to believe the job will be Mayo's. I have a concern about this. I don't want a defensive coach and most coaches from the Belichick tree have been failures.
I don’t want anyone from Belichick’s tree. **** ‘em. Start fresh. No guarantee it will be better, but this is the time to part ways with assets with declining values, if this is the route the team is going to go.

Do you give away assets for 50 cents on the dollar?

At 1-5, and at 26-30 since Brady left, I’m not sure how anyone could argue that Bill isn’t a declining asset. He’s also on the wrong side of 70 and, to borrow from his own philosophy, we’re not keeping him for what he’s done, but what he is doing and what he’s going to do. The team hasn’t had a slam dunk draft in over a decade and they’re one of the least talented teams in the league. If the team wants to move on after the season, I’m okay with it.

The issue with that is.... doing that assumes several things.

1. That Bill will take that courtesy. Bill might not want to just let them off the hook for firing him. Especially when it means his son and other people he considers "his guys" will likely be forced out with him regardless. Bill also might not want to stop coaching. What's the point of having him gracefully resign, if he's just going to immediately run to another team?

2. That Kraft is okay with Bill being in control at the trade deadline and that he is okay with going into the off season in limbo until Bill walks away.

3. That Kraft is comfortable working on Bill's timeline before he gets a shot at getting his pick of the next coach/gm. Nobody is going to come near this franchise while Bill Belichick is still officially employed.

The biggest issue i've got with BB right now, is the absolute hubris over the last two years.

hireing patricia who flamed out as a headcoach be the OC, and Offensive line coach was such a massive nepotism decision. like at the pro level having a guy who never coached offense, suddenly in charge of the offensive side of the two most vital spots.
Then having judge who flamed out as a headcoach, come in and be QB coach, which is something he's never done in the pros.

The amount of **** talk that go out of New england offices about mac from some of the coaches(many believe to be judge) and to still have judge on the coaching staff, and if not for the eagles offering him a job, patricia would still be here as well.

Then when people ask Bill about why the fans should be excited to rest on his laurels and say some **** like "the last 20 years" when bill has in the best talked about how the past means nothing its all about your record right now.

and now this year its an absolute dumpster fire. Bill let a home grown reciever leave and replaced him with sloppy thirds in JUJU who has one knee and catch catch. He extended parker, who plays so incredibly small. Other teams in the league are constantly trying to get better, the dolphins are bringing in guys, the eagles just signed julio ****ing jones for ****s sake. These guys that are moving might not be game breakers anymore, but these are teams with good offenses that are trying to at least ATTEMPT to get better, and here is our ****ty offense right now not doing anything.

Bill is a dinosaur in todays modern nfl. If he wants to be the Dcordinator im fine with it, but we need a new GM and a new HC
