Hate to defend Parker but he never said the throw was bad, just that it hit him in the fingertips, which it did lol. The problem is it hit his fingertips while he was ALLIGATOR ARMING THE BALL.

You shouldn’t be. He dropped the pass. He won’t even take responsibility to the press, which usually players will do even if privately they have other ideas. This dude seems like the biggest douche.

That is the problem with this Team how many of us "Really" thought Mac would lead us back?? Show of hands...
Roughly the same number of fans who thought that Bill would bring them back. Both groups were wrong.

Holy crap! Rarely do I see an interview where a player lacks self awareness to this degree. What a loser. That locker room must be a dumpster fire.
He seems like someone who reads every comment he’s @ in on social media.

Oh, 100% agree and I absolutely don't expect any in-season moves. And the guard positions I'm not overly concerned about because, as you said, injuries and such are the biggest issue there right now and there's at least light at the end of that tunnel.

But they need two new quality tackles. Anderson and Reiff were at best backups to begin with, and obviously it remains to be seen if the move with Sow is going to pan out albeit, it would be great if it did. And if they go to the well again with Brown, that would be extremely unwise.

Any moves for a receiver also wouldn't come until the offseason because I expect them to be sellers ahead of the trade deadline, especially since the odds are pretty good they'll be 1-7 or - should a miracle occur - 2-6. They don't have enough to warrant any additions midseason.
Yeah. I go back and forth on whether we should have picked a tackle instead of Gonzo. We needed an OT really badly, but a number of them had been picked. And Gonzo falling to us was great. But our line is worse for it.

As for WR, I don't see who was the available option in free agency last year who we should have gotten who would have been better. Maybe Zay Flowers instead of Gonzo in the draft. But that's the same issue.

Really, we need to be all in on Tee Higgins this offseason.

Just want to add that, in case somebody is bringing up the "hindsight" argument: Very few here liked the Parker extension when it happened. It made no sense then and makes less sense now.

Boutte must be forgetting how brutal he was week 1 when he was given a chance. Trust me at this point im hoping he does play since we have nothing to lose, but hes got zero room to be pouting

Cunningham had a great game
I heard zappy boy was awesome yesterday. I missed him though. Guess I wasn't watching when he dominated the Raiders with that arm he showed off at the combine. Won't happen again!

That's the tough part. Gonzo solidifies the secondary for the foreseeable future, and it changes everything and allows them to weather areas where they might be a little weaker. He rounds out a pretty good foundation (Marcus, Jack and Jonathan Jones), which will make them solid for a long time if everyone continues to pan out.

At the same time, they need tackle help but there wasn't much there in-between their other selections. As for receiver, their best shot would have been offering Hopkins enough to have made him pick here over Tennessee in what was essentially a last-ditch effort ahead of the preseason. Again, provided the reports are true in terms of what he was reportedly offered by the Patriots vs the Titans. As others have said, Parker's a nice complimentary guy, but he's not a #1, as we saw yesterday.

If we could get Higgins, that would make @Ross12 happy. He's been a pretty good player and would certainly help them.

Greer looked great in street clothes

Imho, this would be Parker all over again. TH's also had the benefit of coming in at the same time as Burrow. I also get Golladay vibes.

Edit - just to expound on my probably very unpopular opinion again.
- slow
-bad vj
-really bad shuttle (opposite of welker)
-bad drop percentage
-sub par separation (yeah yeah "not his game yada yada")
-injuries

Not the type I'd back up the Brinks truck for.

Edit2 - My opinion was strongly influenced by that MNF game last year, Bengals vs Browns, when Chase was out due to injury, and the Bengals got killed. Until 6:40 in the 4th down 32-6 (when TH caught a garbage time 41yd TD), TH had 2recs for 8yds. Another game that sealed it is game1 for Bengals this year when he had 0recs on 8tgts.

No you don’t. You only get player 47 if you dress 8 Olinemen as I said.

From the CBA:

"Beginning with the 2020 regular season, the Active List limit shall be increased from forty-six players per Club to forty-eight players per Club; provided, however, that such a Club’s Active List includes a minimum of eight players whose primary playing position is Center, Guard or Tackle (collectively, “Offensive Lineman”). The NFL, in consultation with the NFLPA, shall establish the rules and procedures under which a player may qualify as one of a Club’s eight Offensive Linemen. For the sake of clarity and avoidance of doubt, for any game for which a Club’s Active List includes fewer than eight Offensive Linemen, such Club’s Active List limit shall be forty-seven players."

I guess I am a little sympathetic that he is just like 10 minutes removed from a backbreaking drop on a 1-5 team. It was probably a blur to him. Still it's a bad look that his default answer wasn't something along the lines of "It's my fault, I gotta catch it if it touches my hands that's what I'm paid to do."

No accountability on a team that clearly is lacking leadership
