As I wrote, the last play in the last video.

There was only one play on that last video and Brown clearly touches Granderson on the arm and shoulder. And Brown is flat footed and is moving backwards up field rather than trying to engage the defender. It was a poor effort. Any good tackle making an effort could have at least slowed down Granderson. But Brown didn't even try. He clearly quit on that play. It was more of a crappy effort play than him getting beat because Brown sucks.

Brady never led the entire league in turnovers, in fact minimizing mistakes was Tom’s greatest asset. Good grief…

Brady was also great at minimizing the passes that would lead receivers into big hits. If he did that it would have been a desperate times call for desperate measures type situation. He could also see things in a micro second. He truly was remarkable.

But as we should have learned by watching lately, you don't need to be a top QB to be successful but you do need weapons. Right now the Pats have none of either.

You’re the guy in San Francisco last year telling the 49er faithful the season is doomed because their terrible backup Brock Purdy has to play and is destined to fail.

I’m not pretending to see the future, but you sure are.

I think the Pats need to figure out who they are first. Are they a team that wants to join the rest of the league and get on the offensive bandwagon. Then they don’t have the QBs or the roster or the coach to do that so they should draft/hire those pieces and be relevant again in 3 years. Shouldn’t take a long time if all goes well. Or do they want to stick with Bill’s approach, a power run game and tough defense. Then they need to figure out fast why the running game is on pace to be the worst rushing attack the league has seen in a decade (as I mentioned in another topic) and hope the OL gets healthy soon. Will still need better run blockers up front. And the QB won’t matter as much.

Or they can just punt and play out the string then it won’t matter at all who the QB is for this season but we still won’t know who or what we are and what we’re trying to do. Probably will free up a lot of Sundays for a lot of us this fall.

All this ^ starts with at least a grade school level of QB play. Mac isn’t giving you a chance to improve.

I am just not seeing how that is anyone's fault other than Brown's that Granderson got through immediately.

I take that play as maybe a coaching error. We're always protecting the inside in order to route players down the edge so that our QB can step into the pocket.

As a fan, I never would have expected Brown to keep up with a fast edge guy 5 yards downfield. I'm not looking for that from him. I simply expect him to do his job when a QB steps up and the edge rusher has to break inside. That's always to Brown's advantage. Here we have a QB that's way back and the LT is not going to be able to be fast enough to help. Not because the LT doesn't care, but because he doesn't have that ability.

I don't know why Mac is way back there; that's on the coaches and the QB.

Weiss got fired as a HC as well. The point as I said is they were both progressional level coaches whose coaching room was not a “clown show.”

The offense had scored 103 points through 5 games this year they’ve scored 55 points in the first 5 games. Is O’Brien running a clown show also?

BOB isn't the guy running the show any more than it was Weiss during Dynasty I or Patricia last year. We all know who it is but some are afraid to face the bitter truth, that right now the Pats are indeed a clown show. Otherwise, the rest of the league and it's fans wouldn't be laughing.

This is a farce. Deebi, Aiyuk, Kittle, and that RB who might be the best RB in the league. Please stop with the talent doesn’t matter when talking about some of the most talented teams in the league

They moved on because Jimmy G broke his foot while having a very good season. If he never did we may never have seen Brock Purdy.

You can't ignore that their offensive talent is great. Throw Brock Purdy on this roster.

Is he better than Mac? Probably. But patriots are not turning into the 49ers.

It's not chicken and the egg. QB and "weapons" complement each other.

There's a reason Brady went from 25tds in 2019 to 40 in 2020 with Tampa. He didn't get better in a bubble.

Acting like we have just as good of a roster as the 49ers and are just waiting for a Brock Purdy to unlock them is pure delusion
