$3000?

Rob did you make this purchase?

Nah! Rookie cards are only worth buying if you think the guy is going to be a HOFer and even I didn't think Mac would ever be a HOFer.

But seriously, I have a rule that I never buy any sports memorabilia for any player until they at least have one Super Bowl ring. I broke the rule once and bought a framed signed Gronk jersey and it paid off. It was when he was still signing his full last name and not just Rob Gronk. So it is worth about five times the $600 I paid for it.

Bill doesn’t want to win. Bill wants to win in such a way that everyone is embarrassed for having doubted him.

His decisions are all based in contrarian thinking. He does the opposite of what the public thinks he should do.

That can work to an extent…it’s makes sense for NFL economics with supply and demand.

But he became so full of himself that his contrarian decisions are mostly now just stupid and hurt him. He doesn’t make enough smart, vanilla decisions to go along with his obsession with going against the grain. And all these guys with the team are just lackeys who don’t push back. The Patriots were most successful with Pioli sharing duties and then when Reese was brought in as a consultant. It’s obvious now Caserio was just a Yes man.
I’ve been thinking the same he wants to show he’s that much better and smarter but now we see it was Brady, and above average O like play.

So you wait until a clear Hall of Famer wins a championship and then invest in that player’s memorabilia. Buy at the top when the price is inflated in the frenzy.

What a moronic investment strategy.

I mean…only one coach would even ponder the idea of making a Matt Patricia and Joe Judge offensive coaches. BuT ThEy ArE TwO ReALLy GoOd CoAcHes or something.

They won’t do it, but I’d be curious what the output would look like if they just made Cunningham the starter and also moved Douglas and Boutte to the top of the depth chart. The threat of Cunningham as a runner would change how defenses had to play, and his mobility might create a few plays. He’s not an A+ arm talent but it’s not like Mac is either. They’d probably still lose, but it would be closer, and would be good reps.

Honestly, I don't want to ruin another person's career. It would not be fair to those players. In fact, I think a move like that would have the team even angrier. It was clear that people felt like Mac wasn't given a fair chance, some players included. If I was on a team and we did that, I'd be kinda like... "Wow... we're really doing everything we can without doing the one thing we actually need to do: drastically reorganize the leadership."
That's what needs to happen at this moment and going into the offseason. The system simply does not work. This site alone was willing to make more difficult changes during this time than the Patriots. And it has paid off.

I'm not saying fire Belichick, but I'm not against it. Whatever you need to do to ensure a systemic overhaul, you do it, goddamnit.

And I'm still here like...

Why didn't we fu***n draft Dawand Jones?!?!!!?!?!?!!!

Glad you are concerned about my investment strategies.

I said you don't pay good money to buy a rookie card unless you think the player is going to be a HOF. I would never spend $3,000 on a rookie card for a guy who is coming into the league considered a high floor, low ceiling guy like Jones was.

And I don't buy signed memorabilia until I feel a player is worthy of it since I mostly buy memorabilia to collect and not as an investment. Almost everything I have ever bought is hanging on my walls.

If I was buy and selling stuff, I would do the buy before they get big strategy. But what good is a N'Keal Harry jersey hanging on my wall because I bought it in his rookie year hoping he would turn into a Pro Bowler? I am willing to pay more for people I know are worth hanging on my wall. And if you know where to buy stuff, you can get it below the going rate.

Just stop it please!!

I said he will play better if he is indeed starting. I am not saying he will play great. The Raiders suck. He won't play as bad as he has the last two games. That is my only point. Jones is better than he played the last two weeks and this is the first really bad defense he will be facing.

You have to fire him.
Kraft said not making the playoffs was inexcusable.
What about the Team playing its worst football in back to back games.
And being a laughingstock, Mac makes Zach Wilson look like Steve Young the last few weeks.
I hated the pic when It was made I tried to drink the koolaod but I put on that Alabama
Tape and all I saw was AJ Mccarron.
You know it’s bad when broadcasters have to point out when he makes a good throw.
It’s like crediting the uncoordinated kid for making a basketball shot uncontested in front of the rim.

Disgusting what a joke we have become.

“Getting drafted by one of the greatest coaches of all time ruined my career.” - Mac Jones probably.

You must be related.

what is wrong with BOB. They get 8 yards on a 1st down on the open drive with a stevenson run. then two passes on 2nd and 2 and 3rd and2 Why is no one questioning that ?

C'mon, anyone being objective can say that Mac and the Patriots offense will most likely play better vs the Raiders than they did against two of the top defenses in the league in the Cowboys and Saints. That isn't really going on a limb to defend Mac Jones.

The run worked early and then became inconsistent. I would have liked to see more of commitment to the run, but that too fell apart quickly.

but why give up on 2nd down of the game after you got 8 yards? how does rhamondre look regressed? i just cant wrap my head around this game.

There is some deep disconnect here. We lost meyers but we got a supposedly competent OC and much heralded OLine coach, and yet its worse than last yr.

No not buying that the word on the Boston streets was the Saints stink too.
