Mac and the "It Factor"

If Gesucky makes a play there, maybe he doesn't fall apart. If BB goes for the TD rather than a FG maybe he doesn't fall apart.

Here's another: Why was a pass being attempted at all, on 3rd/ONE, when Ezekiel Elliot, who can find the EZ like a bloodhound, is at your disposal?!?

At least that was an under center attempt, but I don't understand how you don't go hard play action there. They never throw from under center and everyone exepcted run in that spot. Just scheme someone open if you are set on throwing the ball. I mean, to be fair, Parker was wide open over the ball, but still.

"Tough teams cover kicks". Just all the right priorities with this team. Yeah, kick coverage, that's why they aren't winning. Stop the run, tackle on special teams, don't turn the ball over. Might as well bring Y. A Tittle in at quarterback.
Just embarrassing. Nothing about this team is tough. Our QB shies away from hits that aren't even imminent. Our offensive line gets manhandled. Our receivers get outmuscled on jump balls by smaller guys. We can't stop the run or the pass. We're 7th worst in opponent punt return yards. Keep making those t-shirts though.

This is what happens when you build a team around mercenaries, as they did in 2021.

If they did, that is still on the coaching staff because they did it all the time every game. We had plenty of people who broke down the game film from Kurt Warner to Evan Lazar to Dan Orlovsky showing the horrible separation on routes last year. Whether it is poor play design or poor route running, it is on the coaching staff to fix it and they didn't.
ok got it, if receivers are running into each other last year it's coaching issues but this year not.
It's clearly an issue of our WR coaching, Troy Browns needs to be fired. He is the consistent variable under several OC and the WR lack precise route running, separation, press issues...

Thanks. Yeah it was a mess. If Rham ran the right route and Douglas was supposed to go over the middle, it must have been a very deep middle route for Douglas. Three guys at various depths over the middle seemed a bit crowded to me.
As is said the issue I have here in this situation is that these deeper mesh routes with the rb in this area are requiring a significant amount of time to get open even without these bumps. We can't afford that with this pass block

How long as Troy been receivers coach? Last two years haven't looked good at all, some blame has to fall on him.

Agreed. There are slants that are open and Mac is missing those too. Mac has to be able to make both the quick release passes and the longer routes in order to keep the defense off guard. Ever sense the end of the 2021 season, teams have crowded the box and pressured Mac and it keeps working. Tua has figured it out. Hurts has figured it out. Will Mac figure it out?

Yawn, stop twisting my words. Give me proof beyond One play that receiver are running bad routes this season. You were all giddy you found one play with receivers running into each other to rub it in my face that you didn’t take into effect it could just be a rookie screwing up his route. Someone put that Curran said that was the case. Now you still have to be right and refuse to accept that possibility.

And my concerns with Troy Brown go back to 2020 when McDaniels was here and watching receivers run run routes and allowing defenders reroute the receiver rather than receivers setting up natural picks. He is a constant variable. And I have seen consistent issues with fundamentals with the receivers.

The media is still saying they same thing they've been saying the last 3 years and that is the Pats skill players are among the worst in the NFL. Now they're adding the OL is among the worst.

With that said, Mac has not shown any upside in that he's a skill player/better OL away from taking it to the next level. His footwork, pocket presence, arm strength, anticipation, decision making and release are all pretty bad. Then you have him running full steam for the first down marker, only to get trucked by a DB short of the sticks. He's looking like he's a back up at best.

...And around a QB they were compelled to draft that same year but who has been found to lack any leadership qualities whatsoever.

You can argue plenty of dumb things.

Rams had Von Miller, OBJ, Jalen Ramsey, DeSean Jackson, Leonard Floyd

The Bucs had Brady, Gronk, Leonard Fournette, Antonio Bryant, LeSean McCoy, Suh

The only difference than them and the Patriots is their mercenaries got them Super Bowl rings while the Pats didn’t.

Maybe take a break from posting Rob. You’re annoying as ****. You’re everywhere. Every thread, every comment, same stupid ****. Get laid. Do something.

Waaaaa! If I annoy you, I am damn glad. I think I may have dial up the annoyance.

One of the board’s biggest sh*t talker cannot handle it when someone corrects him. You are such a snowflake.

The next two games will be crucial for Mac, he absolutely needs to use the Saints and Raiders game as mean to boost his confidence by playing well. I'm ready to give up yet on him, i think he will play better in the next couple of games.
