Again with this nonsense.

Myles Bryant is playing well as a #4 or #5 CB.

Wade is OK as an emergency #6 CB.
==========================
End of the roster backups are INDEED NFL quality players.

Jackson is NOT being brought in to REPLACE Bryant. He is being brought in to play ahead of Bryant in the depth chart. This will make Bryat MORE valuable.
My friend.. his name is myles Away for a reason. It's not nonsense. He was playing good in his role not at outside CB. Bryant is and was playing out of necessity not due to his talent level. Marcus, Jack, Jon were out so he moved up the depth chart. JC was brought back for the same reasons necessity. There is nothing that myles Bryant can do at outside CB being 5"7. He's a slot/hybrid and can play a bit of safety. Yes I'll agree every team has end of the roster players you have to have 53 not everyone is going to be starting caliber. Wade is another guy.. been in the system 3 season still can't seem to put it together. Either He's hurt somehow or just can't make plays on the ball. So I'd imagine going forward it's JC and Jon/jack on the outside.

I’d have to think at this point Riley Reiff is washed. I don’t see the point in bringing him back. They need to go younger and give Sow a chance at RT and/or possibly Wheatley.

Vederian Lowe was the vet and moved ahead with Sow’s concussion.. but IMO Lowe would make a good backup swingman OT with his ability to play both sides. He’s not a starter.

They need a better athlete over there, Lowe has a wide wingspan, but he’s slow of foot and weak… he gives nothing in the run blocking department. Put one of the bigger, more athletic dancing bears in there.

Feels like we are going to be discussing the O line all season.. no continuity on the O line is the primary reason we cannot get into our offense. It's simple if they can start to create holes for the backs, and open up play action this offense can achieve success..

The only real issue I’ve seen with the line the past two weeks has been false starts, I’m beginning to think that’s a Mac Jones cadence issue. It’s never the same player.

Beyond that Mac got sacked 6 times the first two weeks. With the majority of starters back, Mac’s been sacked once in the last two weeks. It’s been less of a line problem and more of an inability to pass problem. They pushed the Jets all around in the run game. The Cowboys sold out to stop the run and Mac imploded, that wasn’t the lines fault.

Settle on a RT, I happen to think it’s Sow, even if you do what you’ve been doing with Lowe, which is provide him some help with Pharoah Brown on that side.

Beyond that, clean up the false starts and pass the ball better… Zappe might be the answer to both of those questions.

I see your point.. here's what I'm seeing. The instability of 5 consistent lineman throws off a QBs cadence.. coupled with WRs inability to separate.. Basically every one at WR not named pop Douglas. I don't necessarily in my view put everything on Mac.. Dallas yes he was trying to make a play, he was out of sync and committed turnovers that is on him. The Jets game your right.. they committed to the run and it worked! Wich looking back on it.. the Jets as great as they are on Defense.. KC ran on them as well. So not minimizing what we did but...

Now your right going forward if we can keep the starting 5 we have going forward I believe it will all look much better. The timing, the rhythm, will all be in sync that's the biggest thing missing. So Trent Brown, Mafi, Andrews, ownenu, and Lowe. If just if they can stay to for 2 games we'll see a much better offense all around in my opinion.. I don't know that Zappe is anything more than what he is right now. We need to maximize Mac now. We already wasted a year of his development.

Perhaps, we will be better able to evaluate OL play when we have 5 starters playing together for 3 games in a row. We used to understand that an OL needs to have time to gel.

absolutely, positively correct. The O line in order for an offense to function has to have cohesion

Maximize Mac?

He's in year three as a starter, has a healthy sturdy O-Line, good weapons and no excuses left.

Mac needs to maximize Mac, he was the problem last week.

Mac needs to learn how to make plays the ball is in his hand. They made him a First Rounder he needs to start playing like one or play Zappe.

That's what I'm saying.

No the patriots need to maximize him. He cannot sign players, block, manage the roster and hire his buddies to coach.

They need to be more fair to the kid and surround him with talent. Like Miami smartly did for Tua. IMO

He’s been sacked once the last two games against two of the best defensive fronts in the NFL.

Mac folded like a cheap futon last game. The excuse making is absurd.

Want to see some really average WR’s, go look at the Chiefs. They don’t have a #1 WR, they might not have a #2 WR. Kelce was injured for one of their four games. They’re a top ten scoring offense.

Weapons don’t make bad QB’s good.

Excuses are for losers.

Mac Jones is 25.

NFL QB's start to peak between 26-30, with the peak age being 29.

So we have to wait ten years like Geno Smith… while young QB’s like Burrow, Mahomes, Purdy, Herbert, rookie CJ Stroud and others play winning football?

Again… excuse making is for losers. Pretending a problem doesn’t exist is not how you fix said problem.

Wozzy.. your a smart guy. You know better than that. What did Moss do for the GOAT? After having Doug Gabriel and reche Caldwell in 06. I'm not making excuses for Mac. I'm just stating what we all know. Weapons can significantly help a QB. As great as Mahomes is he had kecle, hunt and Tyreek his entire career. So BB made excuses is he a looser? That's all I'm saying my good man!

What did Randy Moss do for Andrew Walters and Aaron Brooks (the Raiders QB’s) in 2006?

Nothing.

Weapons can enhance a good or capable QB. They won’t make bad = good.

We'll hear the excuses when he gags against the Saints. Just get a lead on the Mac Jones lead Patriots and game over I see a trend. The Saints have some explosive players on Offense in Olave and Shaheed plus the crafty vet M Thomas.

Solely from watching the QB School videos, I get the sense that Mac is a good QB (with the exception of the Dallas game where he completely unraveled), but that our offense is built on an insanely high degree of efficiency. And I'm pretty sure Mac can't do that. And if we're not going to give him better weapons, he's definitely not going to get there.

So I look at it like either we get him better weapons or we get a QB that can play in an offense that doesn't require such a high level of efficiency. And at this point, I'm kind of okay with both.

Absolutely agree !! Do what Buffalo did for Allen, what Miami did for Tua, those are 2 prime examples in Mac owns division. Mike Tannenbaum has even said this.. and basiclly every NFL associated person that knows anything about football. Tyreek hill praised Mac and stated that they need to get him some guys on the outside. Mike Parker and juju right now aren't cutting it. They just aren't! People seem to forget how Josh Allen looked prior to diggs.. Tua was benched prior to getting his guys. Burrow came into the league with chase and Higgins. It's a passing league. You must surround the qb with talent in order to maximize his talents as of course you know but the dumping on Mac is just ridiculous. If he fails... we fail... that spells 1-3.

Randy checked out that season.
We know this.. is why we got him for a 4th rounder in 07.. wozzy.. I'm not sitting here saying Mac should not take some blame.. just the kid hasn't been put in the best situation for a 3rd year QB. Is all I'm saying. Now get Mac the real devante not named Parker and let's see then...
