I wasn't in favor of giving Meyers $20Mill like the multitude but I wouldn't have signed a damaged goods player either.
All those quotes above are from you. Not me.

I was against signing him.

In post after post you told us how much you preferred signing JuJu to $11m over Meyers and why Juju was much better and how it couldn't have been Belichick who made such a good decision, it had to be O'Brien, and that you were solidly behind the decision.

There was no mystery about his knee, and he hasn't even been injured since playing in the Super Bowl last year. He played last season on this very same knee.

There should been a safety called two plays earlier when Zach Wilson dropped straight back in the pocket, right into their end zone, and then threw it away.

Why didn't Belichick challenge that?

Why did neither announcer make that call?
I believe BB already used a coaches challenge before on a ball spot and we lost the challenge and timeout.

Ocho was totally washed by the time he was here. JuJu is hurt but not washed. So there is absolutely time for him to bounce back and get on the same page as Mac.

If we are sitting here after the New Orleans game and there has been no progress some decisions might need to be made about putting him on the bench for the time being. But we don’t have much luxury to do so. JuJu should be the #1 WR, ya can’t give up yet.

I understand what you say, and he has fight in him which is good, but with "third and three ", JuJu was a few yards past the sticks and didn't turn outside (with the defender to his inside) to catch the ball. Hard to understand. Can that lack of awareness be fixed?

What a lovely thought. Generally speaking when you barely eek out a win over one of the worst teams in the league, led by almost certainly the worst qb in the league, nearly losing it in the game's fading moments, the joy is not quite so effervescent.

You conveniently leave out 1. On the road 2. In the pouring rain, 3. Against one of the best defences in the NFL 4. Missing 3 of their 4 starting CBs, etc.

Your posts grade out between C- and C as you always tell only the side of the story that supports your position. My average grade is a 93.6 because I am super nice.

You get two. Instead of using it there he... never used it.

Here is the video that Gardner sent in claiming that it shows Mac grab his stick.... Umm.. Hmmm... Decide for yourself.

The problem is that Mac has established a track record for bush league plays like this. So it’s hard to give him the benefit of doubt for this area of misconduct.

For those of you keeping track at home that’s a pitiful 12.5% completion rate on long balls! And apparently it’s not for lack of trying. Mac just lacks the arm strength and accuracy to really drive the ball down the field.

Despite the pundits disparaging his predecessor, at least TB12 usually put up very catchable and nearly pinpoint long balls when he had the receivers with the talent to get under them.

TB12 was obviously better. If you watch Mac at Alabama he had a great long ball. We will see how Mac develops.

Text book way to block air there so consistent.

Your a harbinger of doom, every other team is great... regardless of record or how they've actually played.

Hopefully when the Pat's play the Bills they will have continued their upward trend of health and improved offensive play.
Happens far to often on here. Been that way for years too. Even back when we were a methodical team that rarely if ever shot itself in the foot the negative chicken littles and Debby Downers's would hype up other teams and act as if they were playing the same type of mistake free football.

It was almost comical, but either way you could easily see who actually watches a lot of non-Patriots games and who only watched the Pats and some highlights.

Nope. I'm currently taking too much enjoyment from all the talk about Mac being a dirty player for going after Sauce's... ahem.
Dude saw the Longest Yard one to many times I suspect.

Pickens question marks were never his abilities: They were his off field behavior and the fact that he had a more extensive injury history in college than Tyquan Thornton. You can beat this drum in every thread from now until your deathbed if you want, but I think you should find other things in life to obsess over. The decision at the time had a TON of merit, regardless of how the careers of both players ultimately play out.

Also "can't miss" prospects at WR in TODAY'S NFL don't last to the 2nd round.
I think it was plain obvious that it was either pierce or Pickens. Thornton was not even in consideration for top 4 rounds . We just overreached and the casual fan noticed his weight and twig legs and our folks did not even see it ?

Similarly what is with the Jake Andrews love. Why not go with dawaand Jones an area of need and superior athlete than Jake?

I think on draft night majority were happy with gonzo , white , Mafi and Douglas and Boutte.

Shockers were not drafting dawaand Jones and a single Tight end .

For all we know mapu can come across as a decent player. But 2022 draft looking dang average for now

Strange, Thornton , strong and zappe - underwhelming in totality.

Thornton -- trending towards Nkeal Harry or worse
Strange - wynn territory for now.

Jack Jones - flashing potential and possibly a hit .
Schooler - balling in
Marcus - high potential but underwhelming on defense so far.
