Now where is Ameer speed ? With Marcus not suited up , shouldn't be be the next guy considering the speed similarities.

Pats have now placed 3 DBs on IR that were expected to be BIG parts of the team in Marcus Jones, Jack Jones and Bolden. May have to move Mills back to CB playing opposite Gonzalez with either Jon Jones or Wade on the inside.

It's going to be interesting to see which of the 3 PS CBs they elevate for the game.

Interesting:

Love this move. I was hoping they'd go after Grier when he was cut by Dallas. He's solid. Funny to get another former QB drafted in the 3rd round by Carolina though.

Well, we're only 2 games away from getting Jack Jones, Reiff and TT back... So that's good.
Besides Sow & Marcus, I think everyone will be back (and hopefully improving) this week.

Also good - Brown & Becton & Hall are limited for the Jets.
& Diggs is out for when we play DAL next week (that's big).

I guess the good news is that most of the injuries haven't been season ending, and the Patriots will be getting reinforcements in a few week, but I thought that Jack Jones was rumored to be out until mid-season, no?

Doesn't matter if He, Onwenu, Mafi, and Strange can't pick up the late guy. This has been Andrews "Achilles heal" since he became the Pats starting Center. I'm always surprised that more teams don't challenge him on it. The Ravens abuse him pretty regularly.

Grading all 31 first-round picks after Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season | NFL News, Rankings and Statistics | PFF

PICK NO. 17: NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: CB CHRISTIAN GONZALEZ

Overall Rookie Grade: 82.6 (Rank: 1/11)
Principal Opponent:
Tyreek Hill
Week 2 Snaps: 63
Week 2 Grade: 90.9

Gonzalez could not have drawn tougher matchups in his first two games, facing Philadelphia and Miami. He excelled against the latter, producing a 90.9 grade that led all qualified cornerbacks in Week 2. He out-jumped Tyreek Hill for an interception while playing his only rep of the game at free safety. He didn’t allow a reception to Hill and let up only one catch for 15 yards to Jaylen Waddle. He may be New England’s best cornerback right now.

Good to know recording Marcus, thanks, but I was inquiring about one of the other injured Joneses, Jack. I heard that his hamstring wouldn't require surgery, but that he'd be out for at least 6 weeks.
No surgery for Jack but hammies notoriously long time to heal. Hopefully he gets back soon

Breon Borders:

I do find it interesting that they brought these two in and not Terrence Mitchell or another more established veteran than Borders. .
I made mention on Terrance Mitchell in past posts.. he was pretty good I'm camp least season.. he had an ankle issue and ended up not sticking around. But he'd be a nice vet to have. Borders is solid not sure about hearn
