Speculation about why Belichick is still coaching

And what if they don't? This is year 4 without Brady. How many chances does he get. Again, I think Bill is the greatest coach of all time, but when he's chasing a personal record and the team is not making progress in four years, how long are we as fans content with that? It's an open ended question. I don't know the answer.
Maybe it’s just really hard to win a Super Bowl

Take all the years Marino, P Manning, Rogers and Brees played. And they have what 4 superbowls between them between all those years added up

I get we are all a little spoiled and entitled but some perspective is needed particularly when a team just came off probably the most impressive run in modern day pro spots ever

They should be making the playoffs but even that is not a given with all the talented teams

Exactly. 20 years of unparalleled greatness (no other teams have come close to that run) has spoiled a lot of people.

I will treat BB passing Shula like a SB win because **** SHULA and his stupid ****ing jutted out chin.

72 seasons between those 4 QBs and 4 Super Bowls

That means that a team with a HOF QB should win the Super Bowl every 18 years on average

So that means everyone STFU about superbowls until 2036

Wouldn't he get there faster if he built better teams though

Absolutely, but he svcks at drafting the most important player on a team. Jimmy is the only exception and he gets hurt combing his hair.

Secondly, BB doesnt know how to identify and draft a young productive WR in an NFL structured towards passing.

Potentially, but the more aggressively he builds the team, the more "boom or bust" potential there is. I think he's been building a "safe" roster that will guarantee a floor of 8 wins rather than risk a low floor high ceiling roster.
Or if I may be so bold sir

He is tying to field a competitive team that can reach the POs every year rather than risk going all in (which we have seen not work many times ) and end up with a team that could really suck

Again if I may be so bold sir

Somewhere in the lower levels of Hell, where Shula is chained to his rock, he just burst into flames at the mention of BB breaking his record. When his flames subsided Shula screamed at Satan, "oh yeah well where's Chris Price's source for that, and what the [here] does he know about anything except baseball?!"

Oddly enough I agree with both of those things.

Look. We know you hate the team and that’s all good etc

But Jimmy G, Brady , Brissett and Jones is not sucking at drafting QBs

If they don’t make it this year my blood pressure will need correction from this place
I know you’re going to hate to hear this, but I’d be on board with the team cutting bait if they don’t win a playoff game this year. The only exception I’d make to that is if the team suffers a key injury (I.E., Mac). Then I’d give him one more year. If not, I’m good with it if that’s the direction the Krafts want to go. Most coaches get 2-3. Some get 1. He gets 5-6 years. Seems fair.

Nahh I am not so against this. If they make it and lose in round 1 I say maybe another year depending on how they lose

Go get him Bill!!!!

Pure speculation but this will get the clicks because of how the team is doing.
Its unfathomable the fan base and media seems to want him gone , without any mention of who should be replacing him...

I probably have lower standards than you [insert joke here] but I’m sticking with him if we do make the playoffs. Twice in four years and an ascending defense. I’m not ready to blow that up. But a lot of it depends on Mac and whether we want to stick with him or move on after this year.

This explains why Bill is content with a perennial 8-9 win team these days rather than building a true Super Bowl contender. I guess we’re at the mercy of his personal vendetta now.
Why ? because you just believe anything is written as fact which was just a speculation by someone on a podcast ?

@EMpats Your coach has a very great talent. I don't think you are aware how great it is.

Just tells you more about coaches who stank despite having the most important position filled by HoFers.

Yeah. That is where I am at too.
