Kinda sad actually for Rodgers

Kinda sad actually for Rodgers

I know where you're coming from, but he's got $75M of Woody's dollars to console himself, he'll be fine.

We know his judgement is questionable in so many things.

It's on him if he thought that playing behind that ****ty Jete OL at age 40 wouldn't end any other way than him in hospitals and rehab facilities.

I also think he's no Brady so he didn't take care of his body as religiously as Tom did to avoid these type of injuries at the age of 39

The Jete are the gift that keeps giving,

The Jets new toy is broken!
Jete need a more durable toy, the kind the Bills fans prefer.

I've wondering how many people would pick Milfson over Zappe as a starter.
Coral comes with a high recommendation by none other than SB1.

Whatever helps you sleep at night chief. Don't forget to @ me if you want to call me out.

And who on earth would want Zappy Smurf in a trade?

This definitely stinks for the Jets but also the NFL in general.

As fans we were going to be in for a treat seeing Rodgers in the bright lights of the Big Apple with some bigtime matchups including two against our Patriots. As fans, I can certainly empathize with getting a 'shiny new toy' only to have it break right away.....remember Rosie Colvin in 2003? Was it the second game that he went down.....and we weren't even talking about a HOF QB like we are here.

Man, this stinks. You hate to see the stars of the NFL go down....it only diminishes he overall product and hype of the teams remaining games.

And on a side note....how about some tough luck for New York fans.

New Yorkers shelled out some good money to see Messi in his first regular season game (only to have him start on the bench).

Then New Yorkers shelled out some good money to see Rodgers' NY debut in prime time only to see him play 4 snaps (for their sake at least they won).

I think it's karma for the NFL in so many ways.

Rogers to NYJ was manufactured hype. Green Bay was moving on from him, there's no way he was going to be on GB's roster this season. If da Jete had any discipline whatsover they would have waited GB out till they released him, but they don't. There was exactly one team pursuing Rodgers, it was NYJ. Woody got onto his private jet and flew out to CA to kiss Aaron's ring and his ass too. I'm positive this is where the financials of Rodgers's contract were worked out. IMO there was no voluntary $33M pay cut from the goodness of his heart, if you believe that you also believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. He was told what the Jete would pay, take it or leave it. At least he was smart enough to get it fully guaranteed.

And of course this was followed up with hype, hype and more hype. Aaron at major sporting events. Hard Knocks. Back pages.

What was lacking was anyone talking about how a 40 year old guy with a significant injury guy would hold up behind one of the poorest OLs in the league.

Looked great in Hard Knocks when no one was hitting him, didn't last four plays once they were.

Same kind of hype driven **** we saw in LA where Jerry Jones drove the league to ignore their own committee's recommendation and give LA to Kroenke, a move that cost the league hundreds of millions in legal fees and penalties in a law suite by St Louis that they lost. The league got a $6B monument to itself that after a year of success now has empty seats on game day because LA is a front runner's town who tunes out losing teams.

The league was a lot better when it didn't have blue bloods like Goodell, Kroenke and Woody thinking that they could use money to steer things to work in their favor.

My point is NFL thinks of itself as so clever and does so much to manufacture story lines based on its own sensibilities, but they are just that, manufactured, and they often fail.

Ive been posting this for years.....the jests, where quarter backs go to die. I just read hes done for the season.

I give the Jets credit. They didn't give up, they played hard. They will still be a tough out regardless of who is QB.
To me it was more like a fish whose head gets chopped off then flops around energetically but then dies.

Buttalo could not have done more to give the game away.

Four turnovers, oy vey.

Now that the adreneline has worn off, they are now considering what it will be like to fly to Dallas and play that D with Wilson running Hackett's offense on a short week to prepare.

I think they will be very humbled very quickly.

Did Coral come back from the Cape yet?

Or was it bad Chinese food.

Sounds like you admit nobody would want the smurf in the trade. You'd be right of course since 31 teams already looked at the smurf and said no thank you. Silly question to ask if you already know the answer.

La la lalalalalaaa ...sing a Zappy song...
