Me when I see any OL released from another team…
I just stared at that for ten minutes. Thanks for that.

It makes sense to what they were saying that Patricia dumbed down the Offense for Zapple and he ran a basic offense in college as well.
That’s not an unreasonable take…but the backups on OL and WR are not good. It’s a combination of a few things.

Agree but good players still flash and he looked out of his league and class as did most the offense to be fair.

Running for your life will do that.

Our QB’s have had a lot of OC’s the past 5 years. Every year it’s different and challenging for the QB’s. Mac has the benefit of having BOB who already knew the Pats playbook for the most part but also has the Alabama connection with RPO’s and pre-snap movement. It’s more challenging for a QB like Zappe that don't have the same history.

I Agree what concerns me is how bad this offense has looked all preseason and it states with the Line but good QBs persevere put the team on their shoulders and make plays.
We don’t have that til proven otherwise and that is a legitimate concern I have.

No I agree… it’s been pathetic. I have hope.

I’m hoping the Pats are doing the Rope a dope lull a overconfident Eagles team to take us lightly and falling into a buzzsaw of a trap game.
Where Mac goes 400 and 5 Tds
IDK… we’ll see

It was that people thought the first pick should have been used for another player, and Mond would have been a comparable pro to Mac.
Wow, some posters genuinely thought Mond was at Mac's level? If so I can't seriously believe these same posters actually watched Mond at A&M and Mac at Alabama. It's not even close.

Can you help me understand your expectations that the O Line would look productive as a unit in the preseason, given the precautions and recoveries of the starters?

Not only not cut, but played yesterday. Weird.

Yeah not a problem every team was playing with backups, rookies, journey men in the preseason. Yet their QBs has more than 2 good seconds to find a receiver.
So my concern and I can’t and won’t speak for other posters is will the players coming back make the difference we need vs a aggressive Eagles pass rush,
Is it a problem with scheme or coaching is Klemm not half the coach Dante was?
And will Mac yes I’m riding team Mac right now be able to have the time to make the plays we need him to to win.

See this is where I’m a hit of a Neurotic person Eagles have an incredible O line they cut what 3 4 o lineman by that logic they COULD be upgrades to the garbage we displayed.
I would fly them together on Krafts private plane to work these guys out which contracts waiting in hand for each of them.

So there's a "never mind" clause for waivers now? Typical NYJFL shenanigans.
I think they intended to release him but didn’t complete the paperwork.

Similar to what we did with Mills this year. (Or was it Peppers? I’m old, think it was mills, but can’t remember anymore)

Arizona didn’t want Mond but wanted Dobbs. Cleveland announces Mond “will” be waived prompting Arizona to trade for Dobbs knowing Cleveland planned to get Dobbs as their 3rd QB when they waived Mond.

Remember Stephon Gilmore was being “released” before Carolina offered something for him in a trade.

James “we hardly knew ye” Robinson has been released by the Giants.

Old non-friends N'Keal, Cajuste, and Palardy dumped.

Kellen Mond cut. Seem to remember a lot of hype, and some even suggested we should have passed on Mac and taken this guy later.

Denzel Mims was tied to the Pats a lot during the '20 draft I think. I wonder if we revisit that thread, would we find folks saying we should have taken him instead of Dugger?
What about No Show Joe Williams? The 2nd round CB bust?
