There is No silver lining to losing a good player in this offense; we have so few of them as it is.

A silver lining doesn't mean a net gain, or even that losing the player doesn't matter, just that there's an element that makes the pain more tolerable. Like if I ordered a pizza and it shows up really late. That sucks, and I've had to go hungry for longer, but if they refund some money that's a silver lining.

In this case, I'd rather have Gesicki 10/10 times. But the silver lining is it's early enough that they haven't cut/traded any players (like a WR) that would prevent them from pivoting the offense to be more WR heavy to start the year.

You should research what silver lining means.

As far as silver lining - while it's possible that another talent at a different position gets to play and shine more, Gisecki is a chess piece who can be a definite matchup problem down the field. We don't have anyone else like him, so it reduces our flexibility to strike with different packages.

They're HOPEFUL he'll be ready for week 1, just to be clear. Still better news than what it first looked like.
Zo was reporting today that he in fact would be ready by week 1 as the injury was as bad as they thought.

That depends on how they defend us with him. If they have no respect for him being able to block he’s just a big, slow WR.
The mismatch in the Gronk/murderer 2 TE was they respected not as a running formation so played bigger than if we were in 3 wide creating the mismatch for the athletic TEs.
I don’t think Henry/gesicki gets the same treatment, or is as good at exploiting it.

With gesicki or without Gesicki comes down to are we better with him or WR3 and I think the difference is negligible.

But if the pizza's cold the refund ain't worth it.
Reheated pizza don't taste as good

i like to play this game with multi-page threads. I read the first page and then the last, and it is pretty funny. Page one...break down of QBs. Last page...commentary about pizza delivery being late but if they refund some of the money its not so bad. GOLD

I haven't seen much film of Tyquan Thornton, but he seems to have very soft hands (looking for a bronze lining).

Hell, I MADE the latter comment, and I'm as lost as you are!
