At the rate guys are dropping out to the rehab field in these powder-puff practices the Pats better have a fleet of ambulances on standby for the first inter-squad days, never mind actual games...

This is typical early in camp stuff, these guys are getting conditioned to play. There will be pulls, bruises and tweaks. The team won't push these guys to return too quickly, the season is a marathon not a sprint.

It's also not surprising that Judon, Rhamondre, Onwenu and Trent are getting treated with kid gloves. These guys are proven vets, some are in contract years... the team doesn't want them getting injured anymore than they want to get injured. The team will protect their assets.

I could see Thornton getting beat out or being traded to another club if he doesn’t pop.

Thornton is going to catch foxborough flu this season if he continues to remain under radar . If Boutte and Douglas pop out , Thornton could be WR5 next year when Bourne leaves .

Really don't get the "boundary corner Marcus Jones" experiment, especially considering how good Jonathan Jones looked on the outside last year.
