I missed what happened to Rham - was he just not practicing or did he get hurt in practice?
I think they feel they can rest him...he got worn out towards the end of last season. Or maybe they just want to verify with what they have in Harris before deciding about Zeke.

ken me with a hidden agenda Nooooooooo!
Never said "hidden". That is ONE attribute I would never associate with you. You are ALWAYS right up front with your opinions. I'll say that for you. It's just so many of those opinions are so knee jerk. One bad play or dumb decision and you are ready to blast the perpetrator.

There are usually 65-75 offensive snaps in a game, and one EVERY play I would guarantee you would find at LEAST 2 mistakes, even on the successful ones. That's 130-150 mistakes (at a minimum),. That's gonna take a LOT of outrage, buddy. I hope you are in good shape and ready. It is a LONG season.

I hope he makes the team as CB, with service as gunner/returner icing the cake.
Especially kickoff returner. I said when he was drafted he reminded me of Brandon King but who can bring kickoffs back to the house. I hope they use him there to give us some versatility. The kid can fly and has a knack for reading blocks in the return game. He brought two back to the house last season in college.

With our Schedule Great CB play is a must! imagine turning some of our better opponents one dimensional advantage Patriots.
It’s early yet, and they all have to stay healthy, but I’m hoping Bolden shows he can hold his own with Jack and Jon and Gonzo. That would be a respectable defensive backfield, with Marcus covering the slot. Keeping the fingers crossed. So far IB is quietly putting together a decent body of work. Love to see it.

Douglas might be a contender for return duty as well. I think I saw him going to the house on his highlights reel.

I see Douglas getting a lot of punt return opportunities, he has sure hands and makes good decisions back there if college is any indicator.

Bolden is interesting on kickoffs because he's a long strider like Cordarelle Patterson, he can chew up big tracts of land and once he gets going nobody is catching him.

This ^ and turnovers was the biggest reason we only won 8 games last season and our offense dropped from 6th in scoring to 25th.

It was never about "weapons."
Not a 100% we have better weapons this year it was pathetic Coaching on Offense last season.

Weapons don't mean anything if you can't correctly line up and snap the ball. They don't mean anything if you can't execute.

We've seen superweapons like Randy Moss on horrid offenses like the 2006 Raiders, we know this.

The weapons weren't the problem last year... that's just the laziest take in pro football that everyone falls back on.

One added "problem" that may contribute to continual talk about the Pats having "no weapons" even this season is the variety of serviceable skill position players we have now. No one is an elite player, but a good amount of a above-average players - meaning the ball and touches will get spread around pretty well I think, and therefore we won't have any stat leaders in any category. This will cause the talking heads that only see flashy plays and mega-stat-players to disregard the Pats again. I don't care, as long as we sneak up on teams and play smart and tough.

I think that'll work fine if BOB and Mac work well together and they do a good job of being smart with the ball and spreading it around.

Henry if healthy is an elite TE, same with Gesicki… they need the targets. None of the WR’s are elite producers but the vets are very good at the respective positions the team wants them to play.

The Pats offense have been near dead last in pass attempts the last two years. If the weapons are going to produce for fantasy football the Pats have to pass more.

Saw a comment that Douglas made a couple of nice blocks in the run/screen game that produced cheers from some of the players.
