Idea of Welker being most valuable is misplaced. Moss, Welker and Stallworth have complimentary skill sets, since Brady and BB understand who to use them to make the O as a whole better.... we will break the record for pts scored by an O. Welkers success in part is a result of teams trying to take Moss away and Welker's ability to make them pay for this in turn when they try to cover welker attacking the middle of the field it opens up Moss and Stallworth.
Gotta love a team with so many peices and the smartest QB in the game to manipulate the D.
yeah for sure, the goal is to get receivers with different but equal talent (by diff. i mean Moss (deep), Stallworth (deep/middle), Welker (underneath), Faulk (from the backfield/screens), Jaffney (middle-great receiver too btw) and by equal I mean those that can catch and hold onto the damn ball).
These receivers could also run routes that were NOT their 'speciality' however I see them being best utilized in certain situations.
I simply anticipate more teams playing Moss deep (see Eagles), because he is so crazy talented, thus opening up Welker underneath to catch the ball and make plays.
It is a good debaucle to be in however....
