Off season moves

Agreed, I'm sure Pritchard is being moved.. I'd like to see what the kid can do
I hope he isn't. Love him. Plus if Brog is out for an extended period or is moved, they'll need Pritch.

What I do know is Derrick White is not a true PG.

They NEED a true PG who can manage touches and ensure Tatum gets the ball in good spots at the end of games.

Just like DJ did with Larry and Rondo did with Truth.

Pritchard is a player that needs playing time.. he's more effective as the game goes on.. his energy and effort is definitely admirable. Derrick white is a combo guard.. love brogdan.. unfortunately like most of his career he's often injured.. I need to see if JD is that guy or not.. definitely agree I've been on the Lamelo ball train for a while.. take the ball handling duties away from JT and JB.. more turn over than a dunkin donuts job between the 2.

Ok, I saw him on the bench a bunch during the season.. however the kid never got any playing time. So much for a 1st round pick..
FYI, Davidson was a 2nd Rnd pick (53rd overall). Celts didn't have a 1st last year (used to get DWhite).

Thank you for clarity on that.. I just knew the team was high on him when selected.. what makes a coach like Malone and pop so good is they believe in playing rookies..

Yep Warriors 2024 pick is top 4 protected...i'll gladly take the 5th pick

Yeah, I don't think they are going to fall THAT far, but top 10 is a definite possibility. All key players on the downslope.

I was hoping Smart would be gone as soon as our season ended.
There are many positives to Marcus Smart the player ... but as long as he was here ...
nobody else could lead the team ... a player acting more important than the coach ... well good luck Marcus.

Felt time to move on from Smart. Will miss his D, but won’t miss his chronic ability to turn the ball over in critical moments over the years. Just not conducive to winning a championship.

Looking at Porzingis, Williams (2x) and Horford. That could be a nice group. Hopefully both of the Williams can take another stride this year and allow Al to be more of a 20 mpg player and not 30+ like this past season.

On the Cs.. a guy they could use is Bruce brown.. Boston native excellent defense, excellent rebounder.. can hit the 3, attack the rim and is a vocal leader.. he would be perfect for us.. I'm sure he has to be on Steven's radar.

Can you tell me what happened to last year's 1st round pick Davidson?.. he was supposed to be the future PG.. never seen him in an NBA game this past season.

Where he was picked in the second round, he's got about a 5% chance of having a meaningful NBA career. He needed a red shirt year. Upcoming training camp will tell us a lot about whether he can be on the roster as a 10-12 man and provide an occasional burst when needed. Having a guy with his speed and quickness to disrupt another team's rhythm is a nice weapon to have.

I had posted that Bruce brown would be the perfect celtics guy I'd want here. .. born and raised here.. defense, rebounding, can pass, hit shots, attack the rim. I'll say.. the more we can keep the ball handling put of JT & JBs hands the better.. they both should watch film of Miller, rip Hamilton and see how they cut and got open without the ball. Thier games will evolve and become more efficient. With porzingas and Rob.. the lane will always be open for them..

Ok I see... yes having that speed and ability to attack is just what we need.. if he can carve out a role for that PG spot I'd absolutely love it!

Did they end up with a bunch of future picks? I am having a hard time finding a single spot that shows the end results.

Yep. Bunch of 2nds. Had to do it b/c of cap concerns.

Jordan Walsh fills a need (lockdown perimeter defender). He might help in 2023-2024

Tend to agree. Tatum and Jaylen can create their own shot but need a player(s) that can get them the ball in spots in which their 1:1 game has broken down. If they can do that that'll cut down on the turnovers. Ball handling as well and stop forcing plays.

I like Brown's game and would lend himself to that offensive philosophy.

I think this is how it settles out, but would love confirmation.

First round: they still own all their own, plus the Warriors' 2024

Second Round:
2024: Dallas'
2025: Detroit’s, Golden State’s, or Washington’s, whichever is best
2026: Minnesota’s, New Orleans’s, New York’s, or Portland’s, whichever is best
2027: Atlanta

I don't know how many of their own 2nd rounders they still have, if any.

Do these 2nd rounders have any value?
