We are on to the Heat and Jimmy Butler.

With Olapido and Herro out, I do not know where the Heat's points will come from. Butler can only score so many a night. Love and Lowry should not be able to carry the Heat.
We saw last night exactly where the points came from.. the emotional Rollercoaster off this team continues.. I don't think I've ever seen a contender in all my years watching the NBA loose so many home games.. what was the point of home court advantage.. tatum needs to play like it's game 7 each game.. just so disappointing to see this team have these let downs

I guess that's actually incorrect, he took one with about six minutes left. The point still stands though
In the words of BB we aren't going to let one person beat us. Time to double butler make him a passer.. those other guys got hot last night..

Probably not gonna win a lot of playoff games when you give up 46 points in a quarter
I don't know what to make of this team anymore.. they show championship pedigree at times and others they look uninspired..

I miss udoka!! He had those guys committed!

People obsess about the timeouts to stop runs thing and it's entirely confirmation bias. Phil Jackson famously made his teams play through the run. Popovich does as well and has said on the rare occasions he does call them he just tells the team "I've got nothing to say. You figure it out."

What we saw last night was a very disciplined team in the Heat against one of the most undisciplined teams. Hold onto your hats. This will either be over quickly in Miami's favor or a six or seven game nail biter. The only time the latest iteration of the Celtics have won a series convincingly once which was last year against the Nets with a huge grudge to pay back.

I believe muzulla is a good coach, he has his own coaching style.. he coached this team to where they are now..

I believe we will be back in the NBA finals.. however these are the obstacles that all championship teams have to endure. Our windows wide open.

He'll adjust in game 2 and figure out how to counter what the heat want to do. It's very simple slow butler and you severely hurt the heat.

Horford covered Butler incredibly well. It was the guys leaving Bam wide open in the lane for Butler to pass to that made it painful. Last night we got beat by Miami's role players. The biggest Butler problem was how he turned Jaylen into a turnover machine.

Agreed he did.. your absolutely right thier role players got hot.. how often will that happen? We were up on them and allowed them to come back.

Jaylen and Jayson can handle the rock but shouldn't be primary ball handlers..

The heat shouldn't even had been in the game had we continued to play aggressive.

We've lost 4 out of 8 home games so far these playoffs. WTF? Actually, maybe the Heat found a way to beat the system. Be mediocre during the season, but just good enough to make the play-in. Then you get to play lower seeds because of the dumbass bracket system.

Either way, Celts in 7...AGAIN

Well they started against the one seed and now they're playing the two seed. But agreed that the 4 losses at home is embarrassing. I don't think the other remaining teams have lost one yet between them.

I predicted the heat would take game 1. I'm not even a little surprised. If they don't come into game 2 focused for the entirety of the game they will be 0-2 before the day is over. The heat aren't here to play games and f*** around. They are going for the throat tonight.

Don't agree at all. You can't just stand there and watch things unravel and do absolutely nothing as a coach. Why the hell is he even there then? To be a cheerleader?

Nobody is saying if we call a timeout then we win the game or the heat's run will stop. However, momentum is a REAL thing in sports. It is why spo called a timeout after our 7-0 run. Even if you don't say much in the timeout you can't allow a 46 point quarter and not once call a timeout. That is braindead next level stupidity.

I recently saw a post about which is the tougher game to coach. The poster said it was football and he may be right. However, one thing that gets overlooked in that debate is the attitude of the players being coached. My guess is that Joe Mazzula has far less control over his 12 players than Bill has over his 53, simply because of the mindset of the players.

If I had to rate the difficulty of dealing with the players in each league I'd put the NBA and MLB tied for first, the NHL second and NYFL last. The NHL and NYFL players are far more subservient than they are in the NBA and MLB. That's probably a major factor that might determine which coaching job is actually the toughest.

I do know this though. Joe Mazzula blows chunks and if the Celtics lose it will further strengthen the theory that coaches don't win games, players do, and that coaches can only lose them. And I recently saw an analyst who claims that even if the Celts lose Mazzula will be back because they can't dump him after one year. Say it ain't so Joe.

Great start Robert. Now take a seat.???
