Wanted new long term deals after the 17/18/19 seasons. He won MVP in 2017, why was he playing for incentives in 2018?He was under contract and negotiating with Miami.
How was he insulted?
“A writer”, multiple beat reporters with quality reputations. Show me the details of the deal and I’ll tell you how their final offer wasn’t 50$ mil guaranteedYour 100% iron clad has to be true because a writer said it, answer is they offered him more money than he signed with Tampa for. How is the most most insulting?
Ask Green Bay what? If in hindsight they wish they didn’t pay Rodgers all that money for nothing? I know that answer already.
Rodgers wanted to be traded, he got a massive deal from the team that wanted to keep him. Massive difference from the Brady situation. If Brady had that offer in hand from NE, I’d agree with you.But if it’s only about money, why did Rodgers leave? He got paid and said the same FU to the packers that Brady said to the Patriots. So I guess it’s not about money huh?
Doesn’t matter how to worked out for GB, that wasn’t the discussion. If you want to say the Patriots decided that guaranteeing money to an aging player wasn’t in their best interest, it’s a different argument
