Im more concerned about Bouttes ankle than his immaturity. The kid is 21 years old. What kind of stupid **** did you do at 21? Pure dart throw but the ceiling on him is pretty high. The body just needs to cooperate.

We got Boutte, now lets get Kuntz

Our new nerd punter.

The Boutte pick feels like you've been wandering through the desert for days without water, and finally you get a small sprinkle of rain and you catch that one drop of hope on the tip of your tongue.

Mac Jones better be making that 'Boutte call' and be like - "Yo Kayshon, welcome to New England. You're my new best friend. Let's workout together in the offseason, I'm throwing the ball to you 100 times a day until you know all the plays and routes like the back of your hand and I know exactly where you want that ball when you break out of your routes."

On a somewhat unrelated note, NFL Network have gone back to the studio, and Maurice Jones Drew, and the other dude that I don't recognise, are incredibly annoying. So loud and obnoxious. When Bucky Brooks is the articulate one, something ain't right.

I just saw the Keion White reaction shot. I want to party with that guy.

Cole Strange.

Now its your turn. Why wouldn't a 4th rounder have the opportunity to oust Brown Anderson or Rieff given the warts on them?
Because they are raw and unbalanced. The kid from Old Dominion is incredibly raw. He's not going to be seeing time in the NFL next season.

Chad and Bryce are either going to join a Beach Boys tribute band or they'll be the second best K-P tandem in New England history.

About this tackle thing, what does it say that Adrian Klemm wasn't even pushing for the OT he developed and coached the last several years?

I wonder if the Pats "reach" with the next 2 picks for guys like Andre Carter II and Kuntz? Or maybe Ethan Bonner.

It's this kind of hype crap that Kayshon bought into down here. My post got bypassed quick, but he's just not that good! And I went to LSU and watch every game every season.

What is the remaining picks?
Chad and Bryce are either going to join a Beach Boys tribute band or they'll be the second best K-P tandem in New England history.

Is Folk retiring?

My only concern about Bryce is that he lacks hang time on his punts. He has plenty of leg. As for Chad, we could have had him with one of our 6th rounders and I'd have been fine with that pick, but as a 4th+ it was clearly a reach.

First pick Jones was still on the board. Easily could have taken him today.
So you wanted the reach Broderick Jones instead of the blue chipper Christian Gonzalez, when our 2nd round pick had his way with Broderick Jones

Nothing.
Remember that Part of the process is rating the player and comparing where they compare to the current roster. If they didn't expect the OT to reach that level, then why would he be on their board?

People like the pick because it is a player from a big school who's name they have heard.

That doesn't mean he is a good player.
No, people like it because he's a guy who played well against SEC talent and if he didn't have the injured ankle he would likely have gone many rounds prior. It's definitely a bit of a gamble, but round 6 is a time to gamble.

What is the remaining picks?

Is Folk retiring?
I don't think so, which is what makes moving up for the kicker even more of a head scratcher move. Folk hit over 85% of his kicks last year. We didn't need a kicker in the early 4th round.
