OT: Eagles Hire Matt Patricia

Best of luck to him. Philly media/fanbase isn't any easier on players and coaches than Boston is. I don't blame him for what happened last year, he was out of his depth. Hopefully everyone learned something from it and he can get back to doing what he's best at.

<<<GASP!>>>

I always thought he was best suited in the "Ernie Adams" role, which it sounds like he is going to do for the Eagles. Good gig for him, the Eagles' roster looks like its going to be a contender. In the superbowl and picking TENTH. The Pats haven't picked that high since...Jerad Mayo.

Scapegoat.

Matty P is no worse than any other OC in the league.

They all refuse to commit to the run.

If Bill had kept Zappe in there everyone would be conjuring up excuses for our success (at least playoffs).

No.

WRs were running into each other on the field.

OLs were unsure of their run/pass blocking assignments.

Mac was not allowed to audible.

They implemented a new offensive system without any SMEs to adjust and expand it.

Playcalling was predictable, conservative and passive.

Not a bad move considering they looked like total amateurs in the Super Bowl against reid

That... Is an interesting take. It has been heavily reported that we was out of his depth.

Personally, I don't feel bad for him. He chose the gig. He could've very easily had said no and still would've been paid. While he was set up to disappoint, he took the bait with full knowledge of his lack of experience in running an offense and that the coaching staff had been drained from McDaniels.

Either way, I think he'll fit into his new position much better. But now he is an enemy, so he can rot (if we play him).
