OT: Jalen Hurts Becomes Highest Paid Player in NFL History

Our fan base on this site needs to get used to paying market rate for franchise QBs. That's just reality.

You all got twisted by Brady's cheap contracts for 20 years.

Yes they are taking a risk given that he just broke out last year but it's a good one given his progress since joining the league. Otherwise they will have to pay even more next year.

Not many of these QBs will be with rich Brazilian models they will be with unemployed IG baddies.

No It wasn't I always capitalize names.

Then the pun was intended... because you used his name instead of the word "hurt" which would have been the correct grammar. The intention was to substitute the correct word (hurt) with the name (Hurts) as a form of wordplay. Which is to say, you intentionally made a pun.

...Sure he’s not hitting them in stride but we never have to be concerned about our WRs injuring their fingers.
You can gripe about ball velocity, downfield distance, and decision making, but I can't imagine how you dig into the numbers and describe Mac as being inaccurate. He is actually very accurate, even into tight windows. I for one will be happy to see the training wheels come off the offense.

Grammar police?? Am I going to be arrested?

I'm not correcting your grammar. I'm calling you out on a joke you made, that you tried to say you didn't make intentionally, when it's totally obvious you did.

(And I'm bored, so I'm making a bigger deal out of it than I actually think it is).

He's the highest paid body surfer of all time.

He was taking below market before he married her. Also as it turned out, marriage is not always forever.

Lamar has lost some serious $$ in interest already with this money not in his bank account, and keeps losing day by day
This signing helps Lamar. Price of a brick just went up.

I hate the language "fully guaranteed at signing" vs "total guaranteed" -- if they are different, they aren't guarantees!

I always questioned whether Lamar was a clinical moron. This confirms it.

Bedard debunked that. His fifth year option is $25 million. You only get the bump for the Pro Bowl if you were one of the QBs voted into the Pro Bowl. Jones got in because other QBs dropped out. So it doesn't count.
This was shocking to read. A powerful admission and first step in your journey back to reality with Mac Jones

for me if those ducks don’t improve it would have to be a job I hate.
I’d have to say things such as oh yeah well who wants a qb who throws missies or frozen ropes cause it hurts the wr hands causing dropped balls and injuries to the fingers.

Macs balls drop like a balloon toss at a toddlers birthday party making it easy to catch on the hands.

Sure he’s not hitting them in stride but we never have to be concerned about our WRs injuring their fingers.

Well who needs big plays the new nfl is about death by 1000 paper cuts and nobody can **** back and throw 7 yds like our Mac.

He’s wicked smart oh how do I know that because if he’s not a scrambler he has to smart or he wouldn’t be playing.

Who cares Allen can run thru backers he’s asking for injury and or concussions Mac will have a long healthy career because he runs from contact even when it isn’t there or a threat to be.
Our Mac is safe and we aren’t sorry.
#Team Mac
Looks like we're seeing different things but who give a F? Anyhow, here's a copy of my reply to Rob0729 on the BOB thread. Here's what I said in my reply:

Thanks for posting this. I understand that your point was about RPO's.

But the main thing that stood out to me watching this film was what I didn't see and that was a "Noodle Arm". I think we can thank that Blow Hard Rex "Toes" Ryan for giving Mac the nickname "Noodle Arm" on ESPN. Unfortunately, that handle seems to have stuck.

We've drafted QB's that have had a "canons" for an arm who would overthrew receivers by 10 feet in Pre-Season and never amounted to ****. I've watched other clips on Mac and he appears to have enough Zip on the ball and I don't think anyone has ever questioned his accuracy.

Last season was awful for all the reasons that have been discussed. I look forward to Obie and Mac being on the same page.

Now having said that do you think Zappe has a Canon Arm? I've watched his highlights from college and he threw a lot of rainbow lolipops too.

Mac's "Noodle Arm" reputation is complete ********.

It's not quite a noodle, more like a medium-firm wonton.

Costly Fumble

The Ravens also can’t be happy with ~180m in guaranteed money. Lamar has even more reason to ask for more than 200m in guaranteed cash.
If he was as good, as young and as not always injured as Hurts then he might have a solid argument for it too.

Lamar is looking more n more like RB Bell. Sometimes you beat yourself. There is serious money being offered. You should’ve taken the deal, Lamar…

Philly should know, they're the team that paid Carson Wentz after a short good run of form.
