We're in a new era where patience is the biggest thing you need to have and one thing we've learned since the "reboot" is people don't have any. Whether it's Mac, or the next guy, or the next guy after that, catching lightning in a bottle is a once-in-a-generation occurrence, it's not normal. Like, at all.
Needless to say, you have to at least be patient with who you have until you're absolutely positive you've got a better alternative.
Well there's something to be said for patience for the fans.
This news cycle however is
not about the fans.
This stems from the report that
BB is unhappy with Mac Jones for going behind his back and talking to other coaches during the Patricia/Judge fiasco last year.
It's not hard for us to believe that BB would feel
salty about his young QB going behind his back.
Now we have a report that BB is shopping Mac Jones to see what kind of price he could get in return.
Obviously if the compensation is not enough, he'll probably keep Mac Jones even if he doesn't like him.
But if BB gets offered say a 2nd round pick, could we see a Mac Jones trade happen? It definitely could happen.
This trade, if it happens, would be more about BB getting
his guy in than what the fans feel about Mac Jones shortcomings as a QB, and he does have some obvious shortcomings that we don't need to go over again.
My only questions then are - what's the compensation, and once that happens,
will BB turn to the draft or trade to get a new QB? I doubt he will want to rely on Zappe as the only choice left at QB during training camp.
