The only justification I could see is if Bill really feels Mac's talent plateaus at the Derek Carr / Andy Dalton level or less, and feels he needs someone far better, and feels he can get enough draft capital to acquire that far better player via trade.

Josh Allen and Tua looked like complete garbage until they got big weapons in year 3.

How on earth can anyone know where Jones's talent will plateau after whatever TF last year was?

This is really tough to say.
Imagine the boulder on this guys shoulder.
I think Bill is really putting himself on cliff here.
If he trades Mac and Mac turns into a stud, Kraft will fire him.
If the QB who fills in for him doesn’t show glimpses of greatness Kraft will fire him.

This is crazy that this didn’t happen already we are so far into everything.
We could of had Baker Mayfield, Jimmy G but it’s hard to beat we got hot hookers here.

There has been a lot of indicators through many different sources about the relationship. It’s fine to maintain healthy skepticism but you seem to be outright rejecting any validity.

I don’t agree with firing Bill, but to your point about moving on from mac this easily , again what is the alternative here? Taking another flier on another mid 1st rd or mid round rookie.., do you really wanna do this every 2 years until we find an elite qb?

I am not a pro Mac guy per se but Bill ran the greatest QB ever out of town with plenty of gas left in the tank. Had no backup plan at QB and then a couple years later had no backup plan at OC and hired his friend. Now he is butting heads with a QB who he put in a position to fail and might be trying to ship him out of town? Bill is having a tough time with the locker room now that everyone isn't falling in line behind Brady.
