Possible Barmore drama incoming? (Unconfirmed)

Barmore needs to channel his rage and imagine the opposing QB is this chick.

You're being your disingenuous self as you sometimes do.
Patsfans is a very different animal than tiktok or Facebook. I come here for one very specific reason. Granted, there are some who spend hours on end every day here. That's not me. I don't judge anyone, if thats what floats someone's boat, that's their business. I'm just saying it's not something I'm interested in.
I think you're fooling yourself to think this isn't social media. It may not be snapface or instachat, but just because you come here for Patriot's stuff does not make it any less social media. Now if you'll excuse me for a moment, I need to post a picture of my dinner or maybe a cute cat video. ;)

Unless something has changed, it is very easy for a woman to get a temporary restraining order in Massachusetts. One of my relatives had one taken out against him just because the woman felt threatened. That was it. No stalking. No physical abuse. I've been told that in MA, the courts default to "restraining order" rather than not. It's a bit of a CYA situation for them. If they don't give one and something bad happens, they're in big trouble, so they default to issuing them.

Let’s hope you’re never allowed on a jury, or the defendant would never get a fair chance from the jump. The first question is what is “this”? The answer is….we don’t know. For argument sake, let’s say that she was granted a restraining order against him. We still have no idea what exactly he did in order for her to request it from the court.

This is out of my area of expertise so perhaps one of the lawyers here could comment on the threshold that has to be exceeded in order for a judge to grant a restraining order. Does it depend on the particular judge? Is the threshold the same now (post “Me too) as it had been in the past? Is it enough for someone to state that they feel threatened or does the judge have some discretion in that regard? If we are talking about an influencer, does she feel that there is something to be gained (ie. notoriety/followers) by making this public accusation? Thankfully, I don’t have a TikTok account, but it would be useful to know if she posted any text messages or DMs that show that Barmore has been acting in an inappropriate or even criminal manner (similar to what we saw with Antonio Brown’s accusers).

- Has she produced legitimate evidence that Barmore wrote something (or perhaps many things) to her would make any reasonable person feel threatened or fearful for his/her safety?
- Did an impartial witness confirm that he has acted in a threatening or abusive manner during in-person encounters with her?
- Has he been acting in a manner that an unbiased person would consider to be legitimate stalking behavior?

If the answer to any of those three questions is yes, then he absolutely deserves what may be coming to him in the near future and should no longer be a member of the Patriots organization. We don’t, however, know sh*t at this point. In my opinion, the existence of a restraining order without any details/context shouldn’t be enough to call for him to lose his job with the Patriots, and possibly his career. Everyone should wait to see exactly what he did (or didn’t do) before passing judgment.

I don’t think you know what a jury is if you think me going “let’s see where this investigative process goes and from that we will judge what actions are deemed appropriate” is disqualifying.

It’s the Pats so I’m sure we are losing a first rounder and Marcus Jones will be suspended at least 8 weeks.
Malcolm Butler will get benched because of this. Oh wait...

ewwwwwdr
I've never been on tiktok. Never been on facebook,Twitter or any other social media. Don't need it,don't want it. I tell friends and family, call or text or even better, meet up.
I've turned down jobs because they required a social media presence.
No wonder there's so many socially awkward people- you ain't gonna overcome that online.
The next step for those people will be the Orgasmatron in the classic film,Sleeper.
People have sex in a machine by themselves instead of real human beings.
I know your going to get the sideways look from many (not all) of the younger ones on this site, when you knock their precious social media lives.
Patsfans is social media. But we just bounce Pats news off of each other. For the most part we do not even know who the other person is we are talking with. It stays on one subject. Pats news!
A good portion of those other sites your identity is known and they call out other people. Or they are pissing and moaning about something. (That happens a lot on here also) Channels to vent. Which in my mind is despicable
I just got a cell phone for the first time 6 months ago. Need it to get into Pats games
And Yes we are Cool for being this way.
I will not even try to debate with others who can’t understand us because they don’t know what true Liberation means

Nah I'm cooler than all of you

you’re joking, right? We live in a victimocracy. People love to portray themselves as victims and often go so far as to lie about it.

Now I have no idea what happened here and I am not saying this woman is lying, I am just saying that lying in such a situation is hardly unheard of.
She would have claimed rape or assault if she wanted to make the most noise, headlines, etc.

Except those would be easier to disprove.

I am not saying he's innocent, I am not saying he's guilty. I haven't seen any evidence and will withhold my opinion until I do. I'm just saying it is naive to think a woman is incapable of making something like this up.

kind of weird that she went to tik tok, and not a single reporter has picked the story up, though

in a town that thrives on negativity, this is telling

This worked for Bobby Boucher.
Social media is poison.
It is. I'm in the oldest Millennial group and hated the birth of social media starting with MySpace. I never thought it would go as far as it has with young kids now making lots of money just taking photos of themselves, doing stupid dances and women taking photos backwards and calling themselves "models". We live in some weird times.

Fun fact, did you guys Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook so he could stalk girls he liked in College and could gather information on them because he couldn't do it the old fashioned way?

Reporters might be busy verifying.....

Its the new Fakebook where people live their lives in short videos.

Drama and BS. Keepin it real.
Mostly but some of the cooking videos are useful.

Social media is poison.
Not always. There is plenty of content that doesn’t fall into that category. The trouble is much of the good stuff gets drowned out by all of the noise.
