And his post season was one good game.

I'm with you in general on Odell, but his four playoff games that year were:

4/54/1td against Arizona,
6/69 against TB
9/113 against SF
then 2/52/1td before getting hurt in the Super Bowl.

Those are four good games, statistically anyway. If you took those average stats and played them out over 16 games that's an 84/1152/8 season.

His injuries are the big question mark right now, but we don't need to downplay his postseason with the Rams, it was solid.

As I said he had 1 good game.
Remove that and it’s 12 catches for 175 which over 16 is 64 for 833. Mediocre.

You can't look at anything like that in the NFL though. Take away the best game from ANY player over any stretch and suddenly they're going to look worse. The fact that you can take away his best game and still have a 60/800 pace just reinforces the point, because that good game still counts. If a player at his "worst" in a playoff environment still gives you 50+ yards in a game, I'd say that's a successful run.

Yeah, you can't just disregard the guys best game to strengthen your argument, any more than disregarding his games with 0 receptions to inflate his stats. It's asinine, his stats are his stats.

He looked good with the Rams in 2021 the year after his torn ACL in 2020. Edelman came back from a torn ACL at an even older age.

He was good as the #2 WR for the Rams after Cooper Kupp. He isn't a #1 WR anymore. The Pats need a #1 WR and not another #2 WR.

I could see it if the stats were more drastic, like he had one game with 9 catches and the other three he had 1 catch. Then you could realistically view the good game as an outlier. But when the good game is really good, and the "bad" games would still lead to a WR2 level pace, it makes no sense to qualify it that way.

LOL
Take away the fifty burgers from our offense in 2021 and calculate their rankings new
But because this would make the pats not look so good, it does not fit your narrative and in conclusion doesn’t count
I know this has been discussed here before and you were probably among the posters arguing that you can not remove a good game you would have to do it for everyone
So in your conclusion for obj you have eliminated the best games from other wr too?

Is this because of his arm length? He reminds me of Matt Light, who had short arms but was a top notch left tackle for the Pats. I expect him to be long gone by 14 if he was there I would happy for them to draft him and play him at LT.

Matt Light's arms were 33.5" long. Compared to the average of 33.75".
Skoronski's are 32" which are in the Isaiah Wynn Range.

I’d be willing to pay OBJ a nice fat contract… provided it’s all incentive based on games played.
No way too injury prone.

Of course you can when you say he had one game but otherwise he was mediocre.
You are free to place however much value you want to on his only 100 yards game since October of 2019. I’ll consider it an anomaly.

When my opinion was OTHER THAN 1 GOOD GAME he was mediocre of course I can look at the other games separately.
If it were something he did with any type of frequency I’d be less likely to look at all of his other games separately. But when it was his only 100 yard game since 10/2019 I think it’s pretty appropriate
If you want to think that one Fame is more representative of who he now is than the rest of the last 3 years, go for it.

NFL.com has Jeudy to Vikings in their quote un quote dream trade hypotheticals.

but you removed that good game and calculated the numbers for one season
you simply can not do it like this imo.
Besides that i don't want OBJ here either

do you think that one game is indicative of who he is, or all the other ones?
Let’s say he gives us a game like that every 3 years. Does that overcome what he does in all the other games?
I wasn’t manipulating the numbers I was clearly stating but for one game this is who he is. You are free to place whatever value you want on that 1 game. I place very little.
