Reiss: Jack Jones and Jake Bailey moved to "Reserve/Suspended"

If we get three good years, he's probably looking at a lot of money coming his way. So he has a lot of reasons to keep his nose clean.
Or force a trade.

Maybe if BB retires by his third year he will have a great relationship with coach Mayo or O’Brien and or mature.

I think people forget that we tried to re-sign JC Jackson and we're working on Jonathan Jones now. If Jack does a good job, he'll have a lucrative offer from us, but might find a better one elsewhere.

In theory pretty much all NFL offers are "lucrative" but that is a major difference from market value.

Hopefully he has that sorted out before signing and will only punt.

He sleeps with the fishes now

I notice they also signed Braxton Berrios

Seems like Miami is racing Las Vegas to grab either former Patriots or potential future Patriots. Patriots South and Patriots West?

How Patriots is it to let go of the punter and re-sign the long snapper? Talk about leave the gun take the cannoli.

In that analogy though, they're leaving a gun that's had a faulty trigger recently and taken the cannoli that may be plain but is still really good.

So are you saying Bailey never was injured?

No, Bailey is the gun in my post. I'm fine just ignoring it though... it wasn't a clever enough go on my part to warrant an explanation :)

There is more to this picture than meets the eye... Bailey fell off in '22, a subsequent injury and issues with rehab. Sounds as though it might be easily resolved, but only if both parties want to.
Jones seems to be easily resolved as well, but we will never know as BB & staff do not throw players under the bus. All of this sounds weird and out of character for the Patriots.
There has to be more to this..

I'm sure the fault lies with my hastily thrown out reference... it was one where I just knew there was a metaphor in there somewhere and it sounded right.

Yeah this one has hidden drama written all over it... but it's all in the speculation realm with "why Butler really didn't play that time."

I miss that plotline we used to follow that ended with "and then we won the Super Bowl"

there is still time to introduce that plot twist before the end of this season.

The Godfather in top 5 or 10 movies of all time

Me too, wouldn't mind using it again

They don't give any details how it was resolved or if it affects Patriots cap
Well in one story I read, Bailey stated he made the mistake of doing heavy squats as part of his training and hurt his back (what a shock :rolleyses: ) That was the start of his issues which led to his 2 years of subpar play. What he doesn't go into were the issues that led to his suspension and loss of 2 games pay.

According to his agent whatever those conflicts were, they have been worked out to everybody's satisfaction.

If that story about the squats is true - it only backs up the conflict that Brady had with BB and Pats EXTREME OLD SCHOOL philosophies of physiology and athletics. But seriously, does a punter need to squat as the only way to build muscle or improve punt distance?

That's an expensive training staff we've got if they're wrecking high priced skill players with dumb training regimens.
