NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Official 2023 Free Agency Thread

I don’t think he’s ever stated his undying love or dedication to Chris Conley or his belief in Drew Lock and Jarret Stidham,
It looks like we both believe the Patriots offense needs firepower and we are looking for the resurgence of this team I can’t speak for him but I’ve been a fan since 5th grade I have lived in Lancaster PA my entire life and most of the kids were Eagles fans. Who at the time a few of the kids I didn’t get along with and I just started taking interest in the NFL. My pop pop told me about Bledsoe and how good he was going to be and I had a friend who was also a big believer of Bledsoe.
I started following Drew Bledsoe, Brett Favre, Barry Sanders, Were my favorite players.
I enjoyed watching the Lions, Patriots, Packers the most. By 7th grade I decided I needed to commit to a team so I chose the Patriots over the Packers and Lions. I subscribed to Patriots football weekly and read all I could about the team. I also found Patriots.com and it may of been patsfans.com it was a message board I would log into at school in after school detention since I had 78 after school detentions in a row and most the time the teachers just let me read and post on there.

That’s my Patriots fan history and how and why you’ve been blessed by my presence and contribution to this board.

I’d be curious to hear Realfan02 story.
I appreciate hearing that @Zappe Hour.

I have been a patriots fan since a kid growing up watching the squish the fish game.. lol as I grew up in Massachusetts born and raised I've always been a fan of all our Boston sports teams..

Yes we equally believe that we need more firepower to even compete in our own division.. when I make mention to our championship years I mention #12 for a reason.. we were able to operate and manage the roster, pay& not pay guys due to him.. so I'm not making this all about #12 but it deserves mention.

When RK took over the team in 94 it restored some hope and excitement to the area. A Massachusetts based businessman who actually invested In a team.

From the days of drew, my man Scott zolak, Eugene chung lol... and then the foundation pieces of Willie, teddy, Ted Johnson, ty law, Malloy.. #12

So like you watching that MO lewis hit on drew.. we never knew what we would witness afterwards. 6 titles and just absolutel greatness...

I've always been a patriots fan.. win or loose.. the team had me clearing my Sundays asking my wife and kids to not bother me for 3 hours why my beloved teams playing.. lol

Just knowing that we'd be in it every year, the winning the big games the come back wins.. always knowing as long as we had Brady and BB we'd have a chance..

Being able to witness history an undefeated season ( yeah I know what happened) lol. I enjoy the forum and getting information from posters and actually learning things I never knew actually. However my post I try to realistically make mention of what I think our team needs ,who we should target.. I just want to win!!!

I use the eye test when I watch the NFL for me personally is the best barometer..

I don't try to offend or insult others.. we are wanting the same thing for our team to get back into what we've been accustomed to winning!!

not sure how reliable these users are but its a interesting timeline. Maybe you guys could give some input.

I could definitely see that.. BB openly gushes Over Hop and hop has been telling his camp he wants to play for BB.. I hope it happens.. I really don't want to give up a WR either.. Parker, Bourne are both on cheap deals.. hope we can keep what we have and add a dynamic play maker like hop..

I wonder if we tried to use Jaelen Mills as trade bait before cutting him?

That's interesting.. I know mills had a history of Injury going back to eagles.. I believe his realease is strictly health related and the team reportedly will be saving 5 million in Cap space.. so if that in turn helps get hop then I'm all for it..

Unfortunately though I'm sure we will have to end up parting with a WR.. I wish we were able to retain Christian Wilkerson..

Well crazy thing about the Drew Bledsoe injury I was yelling at the tv cause I saw Drew putting himself in harms way.
You know yelling at the TV like he would hear me,
When the hit came I knew it was a bad one.
Funny thing I mentioned in my other posts about the Patriots weekly issues I remember the training camp addition and it talked about how much command a young Tom Brady had even yelled at receivers to get in position and where and how to cut and round their routes.
I think the quote that had me on notice was if you didn’t know any better you would think this was his team and not Bledsoes.
So Tom moved up the depth chart and of course came in for Drew and I remember it was the San Diego game when he threw the game winner to Glenn when I knew we had something really special In Tom.

When Brady went down in the Pitt game the Championship and Drew came in and played good enough to win.
I was torn who I wanted to start in the Super Bowl as most pats fans were.
But I knew Tom deserved to play the game and gave us the spark and the best chance to win.
I thought trading Drew to Buff was a terrible mistake then cutting Milloy who was one of my favorite players.

Law, Milloy, Bledsoe, Coates, Glenn, Jefferson, Mcginnest some of my favorite all time Pats.
Great stuff,

Yes I remember that... I initially didn't think it was as bad as we then later found out that it could have been fatal for drew hadn't he received the appropriate medical attention..

But yeah.. I remember as well hearing bit and pieces of training camp and hearing how Brady was yelling at team mates to get in correct spots.. it's said leaders are born.. Brady was a natural leader..

Early on we saw Brady's clutch abilities and come back abilities.. his passion his drive his will and desire to win.

All those patriots greats you mentioned were my favorites as well.. add David Givens, David patten Troy brown, clutch and reliable guys that helped accend the start of the championship era..

Troy brown with the punt return in the playoffs.. just so so so many great plays and moments we all witnessed.

We always had foundation and structure even when we didn't have uber talented teams we always had the structure of coaching and sound precision playmaking and situationally aware plays made.

I remember lawyer being released as it was reported it was over a contract dispute.. but I think having Rodney made lawyer expendable in BBs eyes..

Still waiting for Timmy to sign that one day contract to retire a Patriot, since he's so thankful to his loyal NEP fanbase...looks like he's going to retire as a Buc. :crying::crying::crying:
I believe it's in the works... he meant so much to the region and organization.. it has to be something spectacular for TB12

Still waiting for Mahomes to beat Tom Brady, otherwise known as the greatest QB in the history of this sport in games that matter. Maybe one day.

Wait.... oh never mind! :D

I guess we are counting achievements won under spygate...oops, sorry didn't mean to go there.
They count, why wouldn't they?

Maybe I should count 2 ref calls that gave the Chiefs their latest title and also the push off that wasn't called in the 49ers Super Bowl so Mahomes really has 0 Super Bowls.

Brady wins. Again. Same as it ever was. Same as it will always be.
