NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Official 2023 Free Agency Thread

lots of really good CBs in the draft

seems like an unusually high amount of larger CBs too, no 5'8" slot corners.. its all 6'+, tall, rangy CBs with long arms and are fast
I'm seeing CB or TE at 14 looking at the FA signings. Possibility of OT if Brown is traded.

Yea I see them going CB, OT or TE as well. OT if the right person is there, i think you'll be able to get a really solid starting quality CB in round 2-3

Only receiver I'd get excited about is Quentin Johnson, but he doesn't seem as sure a hit as the year when Waddle, Smith and Chase all came out together.

Don't worry about...it would be an upgrade.
Local radio in Buffalo was talking about Chark this morning. They had a metrics guy on. Chark was by far and away the worst WR in the NFL when it came to execution of routes.

The only thing he could run above 10% of all NFL WRs was the out. In every other assessment, he was at the bottom 10% of NFL WRs.

This gos to show, speed is not all it's cracked up to be.

If you need a WR to run out routes, he wouldn't be a bad option, if he comes in cheap.

These 2 years were not bad for the worse route runner in the NFL...but ok.

well, it is 2023. 2019 was long ago.

Anyway--I don't watch him. I just reported what the metrics guys were saying about him.

Next guy to visit will be named huckleberry or some ****

So you agree it is odd that we did not sign someone? I mean they got moore , we only signed one with noticeable salary
We’ve probably signed the most players or close to it

Guess he didn’t want to play for minimum wage?

Wonder if Hoyer will pop up somewhere else.

Now we can go back to calling him the JAG that he really is.

(Unless he signs with us, then I'm sure we'll change our tune.)

Trey Flowers? Oof...

Had no idea who Chris Board was, looked him up. 4 years with the Ravens, a career high 33% of defensive snaps in 2021. Signed with Detroit last year. Core special teamer - played no fewer than 72% of special teams snaps in his 5 years.

Edit: thanks @patsfanfromoversea for that quote above, I should pay more attention to Belichick’s pressers….
