lots of really good CBs in the draft

seems like an unusually high amount of larger CBs too, no 5'8" slot corners.. its all 6'+, tall, rangy CBs with long arms and are fast
Well that's good then.. hopefully we can change the trend as we have 2 starters in the Jones boys.. I definitely want another one or 2 in the draft, however I'd still like a veteran as well..

I bet they are near the top in players signed this week.
well poles said that e.g. brown wasn't a fit from a scheme standpoint and some players may want to play for a competitive team which does not fit for the bears.

What?

Not surprising because they had far and away the most cap space coming into free agency.
They didn’t have the most but they were up there.
Still, saying why isn’t they sign someone is odd

They need more though. So far they have lost a big slot and signed a big slot, lost a TE and signed a back up running back (losing two and gaining two). They still need another TE or two and another WR or two. They might get those guys in the draft, but they can also get them in free agency.

Wanting to fill a hole at WR (they have 4 roster quality receivers now, most teams carry 5), and wanting to fill a hole at TE (they have one roster quality TE the Pats usually roster 2 at a minimum) isn't garbage. I'm not complaining about the two signings they made (if you look at my posts regarding those signings I was happy about both), just pointing out that they need additional players at pass catching positions.

Dude - Your post was a garbage take. You tried to make it sound like they hadn't done a damn thing in the area and it was stupid. You got called on it. Now you're trying to make it out to be something it wasn't.

The Patriots have the following players who can catch the ball effectively:
Bourne, Parker, Smith-Schuster, Thorton, Hunter Henry, Stevenson, and Robinson. That's 7.

Do they need another TE? Sure. But they could get it in the draft or via free agency. It's not a MUST that it be a Free Agent.
They'll likely add 1-2 Bottom of the barrel WRs for camp to compete against Bowden and Nixon and whatever mid-late-UDFA receivers they add.

We don't know about Strong or K. Harris because they haven't been used much in that role since they're just coming off their rookie season.

So you agree it is odd that we did not sign someone? I mean they got moore , we only signed one with noticeable salary

any capologists know what wed be on the hook for if trading for courtland sutton? From trying to pull the #s off over the cap it seems like a pretty cheap deal but i might be doing it wrong .

Jeudy would be cheap year 1 but very expensive beyond and he’ll likely want an extension off the bat.

Sutton's deal call's for his salary to be $14M (Full Guaranteed) and 500K in game roster bonuses so 14.5 Cao hit for 2023. 2024/2025 there is no guaranteed money, so they could cut him if he didn't work out.

Sutton is $14M fully guaranteed plus $500k in per-game roster bonuses. Too much money for any kind of worthwhile trade value.
Probably a 3rd or 4th..

Shocked they are not bringing in Bisi for a visit as well..

Totally forgot the Chark was out there.

It was $20M, now it's "$15-20M". Soon it'll be "around $15M". I'm guessing NE doesn't want to pay much more than they paid Juju.
Neither does anyone else.

The sun is setting on day 4 of the "open market period", no one has made a serious move for him.

Three years back to back where he couldn't stay on the field, not the greatest locker room guy, wants to be paid.

Not a good match here, or elsewhere either.
