Since the tender isn't guaranteed, this is basically camp depth and emergency backup kind of stuff. Even with no other additions, he's not on the 53 if you're setting the depth chart tomorrow:
Starters: Brown and Reiff
1st swing T: Anderson
2nd swing T: McDermott
PS Candidates (if the vet rules still apply in 2023): Steuber and Cajuste
I could see one of Steuber/Cajuste beating out McDermott if there's an injury or they ball out in camp, but then again I'm also expecting at least 1 OT to be taken in the draft. If that pick is taken high, it just pushes the whole depth chart down. If it's in the later rounds, it muddies up the competition for those bottom spots. Either way, without a guaranteed contract, Cajuste has an uphill battle to earn a spot on the week 1 roster, IMO.
