OT: Massarotti's tearful on-air apology today

Cancel him....immediately!

"That's not who I am" is never a truthful statement.
Sad, but true.

I used to love sports radio. But now there is too much non-sports talk.

This story tells me more about Felger. What a cheapskate and a moron! He's wealthy....

I don't think either of these guys is wealthy. Their radio salaries are probably under $100K, and other gigs aren't adding a lot to that. Massarotti looks like a regular guy in terms of net worth for a 63 year old without a significant corporate pension ($1.5M), while Felger (53) and wife are estimated at $1.0M. They do have a $3M house with a $2.7M mortgage (so maybe his wife has a high income job?) Wealthy people don't typically mortgage themselves to the hilt like that on their primary residence.

So unless they make some stupid decisions, they are OK financially and certainly rich by global standards, but not wealthy (as defined by able to live off of the wealth, rather than having to work for a living).

Good riddance. Hope this spells the end of his time in Boston. There’s a lot more spring cleaning to do. Have no idea whatsoever how some of these clowns still work in the area with all the ****stirring they’ve done over the years. Long overdue for a spring cleaning to clear out the garbage.

You think, at his age and with singular Boston sports focus, he could get a job in another city? I'm skeptical.

What a white grandpa 1970s thing to say.

If I ever saw Tony Spazz after the 2007 Bowl, I'd still be in Walpole. he's not a man, he's a runty weasel POS
if you ever do. We can take my car
I despise that clueless fool

According to this, Felger's net worth is $41 million.

They make well north of $100k. When Minihane was on WEEI and they were #1 in the mornings he said with bonuses he was making huge $.

Felgsr and Mazz are the #1 afternoon show in a major American city. I’d bet they are making in the range of $500k per year each.

Agree. I don't think Sara would have quit her job if Felger was making $100k a year. They have a place in Nantucket.

Plus Felger is on NBCSports Boston doing that as well.

Agreed. They pull in advertising for both radio and television with the simulcast. Plus, Felger does a lot of additional TV for NBCSN along with a Sunday night sports gig on another Boston station (don't recall which one). He's pretty prolific. I think he's talented at what he does but get sick of his carnival barker motormouth.

Do people actually listen to those ******s?? Tearful apology boo hoo Maz out of the hearts' abundance the mouth speaks.

He wasn't the guy behind that one, that was Tomase - who was also with the Herald. Although Mazz jumped ship and went to the Globe in 2008 after that fiasco, although I don't know if what happened with Tomase and the aftermath at the Herald played a role in it or not.

You could be right. For all we know Felger is in hock up to his eyeballs. Not renting a car might be a clue.

Just announced: Mazz suspended rest of this week without pay, all other staff to undergo sensitivity training.

Yea i'm sure the sensitivity training Felger will go through will have a long-lasting impact.

No way those two are making less than $100k a year. I think they are the most listened to regional sports talk show in the country.
