NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Super Bowl Game Day Pregame/Game Thread (Eagles vs Chiefs)

Maybe he'll unretire again so he can beat down Mahomes and his team a few more times. Can't wait!

And hopefully he won't run into Stafford or Dak along the way...

In any event Chad Henne is retiring from the Chiefs, so Mahomes needs a decent backup. Maybe Brady should give Andy Reid a call.

That's weird

I was told that the great teams win.

Eagles had a great team, number 1 offense and defense... why didn't they win?
Defense sucked in the biggest game of the season.
Refs piled on against them.
Their soft schedule got a bit exposed.
Andy Reid is a brilliant offensive coach.
Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL.
Kelce is the best TE maybe ever.
Hurts fumble was a major ****up.
The field conditions were putrid.

Why would Brady want to go there when he can beat down Mahomes in the playoffs and Super Bowls like he always does?

Fine, he led the team to 31 points. There, you happy?
Whatever, I don't care that much about, regarding Mahomes. His bother is an insufferable douchebag but Patrick seems ok. He's a great quarterback, the best in the NFL right now, and he'll be a top 5 all-time quarterback by the time his career is over. He's fortunate to have a brilliant minded offensive head coach who is at the apex of innovative play calling. As long as Reid remains his head coach, they're going to compete for more championships. Good for them.

However...

1. Mahomes was not great in this Super Bowl. I'll give you very good. But his defense scored a TD, two of his TD passes were to uncovered receivers, and he had only 182 passing yards. (I'm aware of the TOP too.)

2. Mahomes is not greater than Brady. Not even close. We can realistically start the conversation if he gets to 4 rings and even then he'll have a ways to go. And I don't care what some stupid random poll says, I've watched both of them closely throughout the entirety of their careers. Brady is the GOAT. Mahomes is in the top 10 somewhere but like everyone else he's significantly below Brady.

I have some catching up to do how this turned into a Mahomes vs Brady debate. I'm not a fan of a QB head to head record as they don't prevent one another from scoring. The QB's play the other team's defense.

And Brady's 2-0 against Mahomes in the postseason will be huge in the final evaluation and comparison of their careers. Brady effectively took two rings away from the Mahomes. Beat him at Arrowhead with a clutch OT game-winning drive in the AFCCG. And then beat him again soundly in a Super Bowl. This 2-0 will make it virtually impossible for Mahomes to ever pass Brady as the GOAT.

A certain someone is flailing away again, desperately trying to impossibly knock Brady from his GOAT perch.

This is a perfect example of how stats can be misleading. The knock on the Eagles was they didn't face much competition. The 9ers were rattling them until Perdy got injured. Eagles have a damn good team though and should be back in the hunt next year.

He can't even beat Dak at this stage. And his team carried him over his victory over Mahomes in the SB. I already posted the stats.

Talent-wise, he is better than Brady. The best I've ever seen. Mahomes is coming for Timmy. And if you take into account spygate, Mahomes is already ahead of him. Sorry I had to say it but spygate is a big deal for me. Brady is 3-3 outside of spygate in super bowls as a Pat.

I disagree about the talent (and there's a lot more to it than just physical attributes). Regarding the eye test, whatever, the same thing was said about Marino and Peyton... Brady blows both of their careers out of the water.

Right, Mahomes still has a long career ahead of him. So does Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Jackson, Watson and Lawrence. Winning a handful of Super Bowl championships is nearly impossible, it's only been done by one quarterback. There are reasons for that. Like, other quarterbacks and teams are good too.

I'd say 95% of videos like these are staged or fake.

It’s obvious first nobody reacts like that even if let’s say your brother played on the team. Second dude would get his ass beat the second he hit the tv by whoever lives there

There are plenty of posters I disagree with but this is ridiculous...just utter thread wrecking with zero insight. How does DropKickFlutie get banned for life but this moron is still here? I've muted him in every thread, but there are still his **** stains all over the place when I try to read conversations.

This is why I keep saying you know nothing about football other than stats.

Time of Possession:

Eagles - 35:47

Chiefs: 24:13

Mahomes put up 35 points with the Eagles dominating the TOP. It was an amazing performance. And he did it on a high ankle sprain.
He played well.

But Brady still owns him when it mattered most. The end.
