If Mahomes wins, there's a big silver lining for Brady stans. There's always going to be a guy playing who is "the best ever but not most accomplished ever." That's the nature of sports...over time, it's like evolution, and the stats get more efficient, the QBs play more games, throw more passes, etc. This happened to Montana after he retired (Young was GOAT 1A, then Manning was GOAT 1A for awhile.) It happened as Brady was playing with Rodgers.

So that's inevitable. Sports discussion isn't interesting when there's no debate.

I like Mahomes better than Manning and Rodgers, and with a second SB, he's probably going to surpass Rodgers already on the GOAT list and getting ready to surpass Manning. If you want Brady to remain on the pedestal, I don't think there's any reason to worry about Mahomes until/ unless he reaches 4 SB wins because then, yes, he's really in the conversation. Sure, sports talk will call him the GOAT right now or compare the two, but that's just prisoner of the moment stuff. Aaron Rodgers? Who is that? Steve Young? Yeah, they're not shiny and exciting anymore. All that hot air for years about Rodgers just dissipated in an instant when Mahomes became the new prototype.
It's mainly the KC hate for me. I like Mahomes too, but if he starts doing that hobbled crap again on Sunday I'm done with him

I understand when players fake/milk injuries to get a penalty...it's the competitive nature. Milking the injury for the crowd/media, though? Hard to respect that.

What in the world makes anyone think that Patrick Mahomes is gonna milk an injury for the crowd? He's limped 2 times in his career that I'm aware of. Once when he had turf toe that required surgery and this time. He's had a lot of opportunities to fake injury if he was so inclined.

his brother is a scumbag POS...you trying to sell us on the idea that the apple fell way off the tree? I wouldn't put anything past Mashomes when it comes to playing to the crowd...enjoy your beatdown BTW...

His brother makes Fredo look like a bad-ass Rhodes Scholar.

But that's what he does. Someone posted a video of him after the AFCCG where he's walking around, bouncing, dancing like there was no injury at all. He ran a record # of yards behind the los in the Tampa SB w/ turf toe. He embelishes his injuries to trick the D & gain a competitive advantage which results in the fans/media fawning over his toughness even if he loses. Guy is kinda douchey.

I don't know, the injury looked legit when it happened. He seemed hobbled against the Bengals. His final scramble only turned into a big deal because of the bonehead defender who hit him out of bounds. The refs had already called a code red to get the Chiefs into the SB, they didn't need that gift in a crucial spot.

Do I think he got injured against the Jags? Yeah. Hard to see where he wouldn’t have gotten injured.

Do I think he was as injured as he made out on the field? Of course not.

I am going to lose my mind about the talk about Mahomes being an "x-factor" that gives the Chiefs an advantage in this game when he's ****ing SUCKED in Super Bowls!

Not much hype surrounding this game

$168 bucks to park for the game.
Boatloads of Eagles fans headed to Phoenix.

We got the exact kind of talk every year about Peyton Manning going into the playoffs. "Who going to stop them!?" Maybe Mahomes can come through this time. History says no but its a new year and a new game. We shall see.

Mahomes is a better play-off QB than Manning so far

I finally understand that SNL sketch when we were playing Philthy and the supposed button was some line about "can't both sides lose"
Whichever side wins will declare itself a dynasty. You watch. Philthy will try to stretch it from 2018, KC from 2020, counting the loss as another SB.

This kind of thing is why we need to bounce back. People start thinking they're next up. They shouldn't be allowed to think they're even safe from us. Eh well. You guys know which SB is the best one... (the next one)

You'll have a play folks will be *****ing at the Refs. Special Team play, or plays, that we will talk about.
But in the end, it's all about Turnovers. Don't commit 1 single Turnover, you have a 75% chance of winning.
That's how important Turnovers are. They equalize talent.

Crazy how JAX had 5 TOs and Chargers had none, yet they came back to win that WC game.
