If Brady goes to the Doofins or Jets….

I expect this post to be deleted soon
There is a lot of small **** energy around now with the report button

I think "small ****" is being generous to the vajayjay squad.

Look at the 1st page two posts got deleted right away haha
Really? What got deleted? I didn't see anything obscene or threatening posted. Or illegal.

I think Brady has earned the right to diddle around however he cares to. I don't think his 'legacy' is at risk in any way. That said, I think there are signs his skills are on the fade, so I don't think his presence in a AFC East, wherever that may be, will make a vast difference.
Not only do I agree that the divisional balance of power wouldn't shift, but I'd also argue that signing Brady also complicates the situation of any team who's assessing a young starting prospect: I don't think benching your current QB to make room for Brady for 1 or 2 years and just swapping them back in when Tom finally decides to hang em' up can be done easily.

Now, if you're a team like the Raiders or perhaps even the Titans who clearly know that their current starter isn't going to get the job done, taking a chance on Brady might make some sense, but I don't think any of the AFC East hopefuls fit that bill: The Fins' in theory might, but we keep hearing that they have no intentions of ending the Tua experiment. For various reasons, I don't think Brady would find the Jets an appealing option. And obviously Belichick isn't going to give up on Jones unless he sees a clear medium to long term alternative.

His national and NFL and patriots legacy are cemented. But….as one player who plays his entire career with one team…that is special
See Larry Bird, Ted Williams, Yaz, Bill Russell

Don't like him? Who cares?! We're not talking about his celebrity. We're talking about his football legacy which is unparalleled. That you don't like him, doesn't matter at all, other than it skews everything you say about him, including as a football player, which destroys your credibility on the topic.

Sorry, many people don't like/respect him. Spygate is real issue for many fans outside of Mass, Maine, NH, Vermont, and half of CT. Believe me.

It would actually be good for the NFL if Bill and Tom went at it, even if it was for a very short period of time.

Aside from that, there's more things to worry about in life than where Tom Brady goes next and how it affects his "Pats legacy".

I don't think he'll be coming to our division if he decides to play again.

Jets are actually a QB away imo. Zach Wilson was terrible. We beat the Jets twice almost exclusively off Wilson being inept. League average QB and they are in the playoffs. That defense and run game are very good (and they were missing their best weapon most of the last part of the season). Brady coming could put them back in the playoff picture and maybe attract a WR or two to come and amp them up more.

Honestly in a total vacuum if you ignore all history and the rivalry it's a pretty solid landing spot.
The Jets are more than a QB away. Their franchise is sick and inept in a way that they need an entire culture change first.

The only way I'd see Brady coming back to the AFC East is if he wanted to go back on one last revenge tour to show up BB in his own division.

I could easily see Brady orchestrating an offense with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle to ~5000 yards passing and 40+ TDs. It would be a nightmare. The only thing keeping that scenario at bay is Tua actually looked decent last year, still has injury issues with those concussions, but he's relatively young and decent.

Despite Tampa Bay's decline this season, I feel a lot of this was due to the coaching, Bowles is inexperienced as a head coach and his defensive tendencies had him favor conservative play calls in important moments. Despite Tampa Bay's disfunction, Brady still completed the most passes in NFL history?

If you look at his last 3 seasons, you'd take that from just about any top 10 NFL QB.

Anyways barring Tua unable to play in 2023, I don't think Brady returns to the AFC East. We can put off the nightmare of a revenge tour where Brady dominates BB's 'rebuild' year after year in the same division.

It's because he played for the Patriots.

Once he left, it became easy for people to like him and acknowledge his greatness.

CryGate is about the Patriots and Belichick. To prove you're right, it's described seriously in Wikipedia for example, as opposed to the total joke that it is. What the Patriots did in the first half of a first game of a season wouldn't have resulted in more than a warning for any other team.

Brady is quickly moving from dedicated competitor to obsessive narcissist.
His on-field legacy may be cemented, but his general perception and football legend will certainly be negatively affected if he keeps trying to eek out seasons as a 46 year old while disintegrating on tv before the nations eyes. Please just retire!
The Dolphins, Raiders or Titans are not going to win a SB next year. Bills, Chiefs, Bengals are the cream of the AFC for a while.
And SF isn't going to scrap Purdy now, he's their future.
The situation for Brady is that if he isn't in the conference championship or super bowl game, his season is a failure.
We see that now with Tampa: first two seasons were perfectly acceptable, third wasn't.
I think Brady will look at the relatively poor situations open to him, the high standard he and others have for him, and his diminished skills and decide to move on to the next phase of his life.

The Patriots have more Super Bowl losses than the Lions, Browns, Jets, etc.

Terrible legacy.
The stupidity of some people is mind boggling "let's not make the playoffs to avoid the stink of losing in the SB" ugh

How will his Legacy be harmed exactly? Do you think winning 7 SBs will somehow be harmed by ending his career w/ a 3rd team?
Not so much playing for a third, being an owner of a division rival.

No, I've never seen this much hate/disrespect towards other NFL, MLB, and NBA dynasties. People treat the Pats like the Astros. It is what it is.

hopefully he and Gronk go to mami all you ungratefull fans deserve to be punshed by the GOAT

What a silly post. You don't pay very good attention to things, apparently a habit extending from grade school.
